windows media player help

i dont know if this was the right place to post this but when i open windows and go to open and click the arrow pointing down i get a heap of deleted file's how do i get rid of them i'm using vista window's media player if that makes a diffrence

With media player, it takes more than 10 failed attempts before the software decides to check what is actually there.

So you will need to go to the media library section [Songs, not artists or albums];

Select all the files by pressing CTRL and A;

Then select delete [ Make sure you select DELETE FROM LIBRARY NOT ] DELETE FROM COMPUTER.

Once you are done with that.

Go to FILES/OPTIONS and select the location of your Music.

Will take a couple of minutes but fixes the problem.
