had to be shougo amakusa who wa sthe man that blinded kenshin. He could have killed kenshin easily after he was blinded but spared him.

i say it is shishio...cause he's the only opponent that has severly damaged kenshi....though shougo amakusa is a tough opponent too...

you guys also have to realize that Kenshin had to fight shishio's strongest men and from this, he learned one of Kenshin's moves and tired him greatly. IF Shishio didn't do this, Kenshin would have won, even if the guy didn't spontaneously combust.

Kenshin wasn't fully recovered with the battle with Shishio, plus Shishio knew the secret of the Amakakeru Ryu No Irameki because of Kenshin's previous battle (can't remember the name of that kid), and Kenshin didn't become the Battousai (yellow eyes). -------------------- Free Will Is An Illusion! |

I guess everyone is in agreeance with Shisio. I agree, he was probably better than Kenshin, but Kenshin had luck on his side. Yes, Kenshin was rusty, but that doesnt mean he wouldnt have lost.

shishio probably had more talent than kenshin especially since in samurai x in the manga, shishio took kenshin's spot as a hitokiri assassin for katsura. also kenshin was lucky that shishio caught flame or else kenshin wouldve probably been dead. shishio had age, strength, and technique on his side while kenshin was indeed turning "rusty".

but when u think about it properly kenshin had to vs 2 very strong ppl before he was fighting shishio and that his technique was discovered by that boy ummm soujiro yer dats the name. so when u take those into consideration shishio wouldve still lost even if he hadnt combusted

Let's just put it this way, if Shishio were to fight the Battousai in his true form and if Shishio could fight him w/o combusting, Kenshin would defeat him easily(well not easily but you get the point). Shishio found out the secret to Kenshin's most powerful move and caused him to lose much of his energy prior to fighting him. If I recall correctly, Shishio even said that if he had fought Kenshin w/o making him fight his "henchmen," he would have lost to Kenshin.

Depends if you're exclusively talking about the anime. If you're not, then Enishi is far and away the strongest - whereas if you are, it's a tie between Shishio and Shougo Amakusa

truthfully, Enishi in frenzied nerves mode was likely the strongest, aside from frenzied nerves that'd make shishio the stronger
regardless neither could really beat kenshin 1v1 no restrictions, that'd be Kenshin fighting full will power, after 0 battles, having learned the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki, Shishio knowing none of Kenshin's techniques, being normal, not burned(no lfame attack or combustion) -------------------- Shining brightly even for a split second is far better than living a dull grey life in eternity.
