Okay we used to have one of these here post your desktop threads, but alas, it has vanished, so im starting a new one

if you don't know how to take a screenshot then follow my easy directions:

minimize to your desktop, then hit the print screen button which is located near the F12 key, then hit CTRL+R or go to start and Run, then type in mspaint into the box, hit enter, then go to edit, paste, and save as a jpeg picture. Then upload to an image hosting site like http://www.imageshack.us and post the pic on here

Well here's my desktop. It's been the same for 3 years lol. I just love this pic soooo much! xD

Anyway, I have about 30-40 shortcuts in every folder there lol because I just love being able to get to all my programs without leaving the desktop while still not having my background covered by shortcuts.

Yeah, I change mine very frequently. I've had this one for about a week or so, before this it was a different Hanatarou, and before that it was Deidara! I'll continue changing it every couple of weeks, probably.

Visual styles consist of backgrounds, coursers task bar, window, etc. styles. My visual style is a gray/black one to match the car in my background:




It helps you personalize your computer further than just the desktop. I already gave you links on the previous page to style XP and a free collection of styles.

Oh that Im not buying that just for the skins. And as far as matching. I match the desktop color to the background that mostly as far as I go. Ive already changed the font/size of my text.
