this manga is the most emotionally thought provoking story I've ever read(from manga that is). Poor me. I watched the anime first. not only did it not end(well i guess it did but the last episode did nothing to wrap up the story) but the characters are totally different. Took me a couple months to care enough to read the 19volume manga. that had me hooked from chapter one.

The ending was pretty bad though, IMO

Nani!! manga or anime?!? Manga ending was awsome. Really Brought the series to a close. Unless you were looking for a manga about there life after that... But I think that would be over kill

I just finished reading the manga.......all i can say is that i am glad i read it.
I was quite emotionally exhausted tho.....and i was pretty much brought to tears by it all, being a fan of Aya and all. I would love to see a continuation of the series for later down the track but i guess that looks outta the question now!
I thought this manga was brilliant, because of the way in which everything turns out...quite realistic in a way.
I just hope im not the only one who felt like screaming in some parts of the mangas cos it was really doin my head in.....anyway, next manga i guess.

Ichigo 100% is currently my favorite manga entirely because of the way it ended. to me junpei chose nishino because even though aya was his first love, nishino had become more important not to hurt, an example would be when aya confessed her love to junpei but he said that nishinos sad face made him sadder than toujous tears. another reason i believe that junpei chose nishino was because of his fear of losing her forever. he knew that he would make the movie based on toujous script later on in life so he wasnt completly losing her, but not only was nishino "engaged" to a man who he deemed was a better man than himself, in both looks, physical strength, and charm, but she was goign to go study in france for many years, so in his mind, if he didnt make up with nishino, he would lose her forever to her career or to someone else, and that was what put nishino above toujou. an example of this would be if you were to add satsuki to the equation, the reason he would not choose her was because he had no fear of losing her and what this says to me is that junpei, even though he loved all three girls the same, would choose the girl who he felt would be the "saddest" by his rejection, and that ended up being nishino

but everything would've been finished quicker if manaka wasnt such a believer in finding the right girl and would've just done all 6 of the girls, aya, satsuki, nishino, yui, and mukai, then the manga wouldve been called golden boy 2 and i wouldnt be here typing away like crazy

I literally just finished reading it. I'm sad it's over. Junpei got so dreamy in the end, I've acquired a tendency for men in hardhats I'm sooo glad it ended the way I wanted it to. This manga made me really, really happy =]

I didn't just feel like screaming at parts, I punched my wall and put a few holes in it....now I have to fix them





You also forgot to mention that one of the reasons he didn't choose Toujou was because he was holding her back. That because of him, Toujou wasn't reaching her full potential.

I wouldn't ever watch the anime

After reading it, I also chose not to watch the anime. For one, this story definitely cant be told in 26 episodes, it is way too long for that. And for two, I just dont think this style would convert well over to anime. Not to sound like a manga elitist (well maybe I am, manga is just that much better story and art-wise), but the way it was told and the emotions it brought about were meant to be read. I watched one episode of the anime and it was terrible, the conversion ruined the grandness of the manga. Sort of like Negima!

This is definitely one of the most emotionally moving ecchi things to ever exist. Even though it was full of fanservice and then some, it was extremely touching. Even though I was extremely pissed off at Manaka, I could see where he was coming from. If he dated either girl, he wouldnt be able to be friends with the rest, and they all had their charming points. I read the whole manga in a week, it was definitely so addicting.

The ending could have been better, but the way it was set up there was no way for it to be a completely happy ending.

My hero
