shikamaru's brilliance gives him the advantage by quickly being able to come up with a strategy to defeat his oponent

Sasuke. He has his sharingan and chidori. He also was proven the best in class.

Well duh naruto is the best,well thts for me but hey naruto has the nail tail fox inside him and hes also strong n well he always get really beat up but at the end he wins the fight^_^

I think naruto but in manga its "yamato" he is an exctly same copy as the 1 or 2'rd Hokage same WOOD controll and he has the power do defeat naruto and kyubi

THE story::
Yamato is connected to the legecy of Shodai because he carries his genes within him. When Orochimaru was still a respected ninja within Konoha, he carried out experimental gene therapy on 60 village children. Orochimaru sought to gain Shodai's Mokuton and Bijuu controlling powers for his own. To that end he obtained genetic material and spliced it into 60 children. Orochimaru soon left and never saw the fruit of his labors. All but one of the children died. Yamato managed to survive and grow into a powerful ninja.

It depends. I think naruto is but that is when he is using the nine tailed foxes chakra. If he wasn't then he would have been dead along time ago on the bridge in episode 20 something.
So without the foxes power i think it is sasuke or neji or lee

in my opinion Sasuke is the best... but i hav to admit Naruto is not weak either... when it comes to battle... will n determination is more important... although Naruto is quite stupid in the beginning....
