this is a really good game its about a person named kite and his friend who invites him to the online game of "the world" but when his friend takes him to this areo he getts data drained by an evil data called skeith and when that happens not only does your rpg person die you go into a comatose.
so after that he goes and tries to defeat the evil data and in the end of the first game you fight skeith but there are 3 more games.
also during the game you make friend s and you can read the board(their type of forum) where you learn locations of places where you can get stuff and meet people you form a party to with the friends you make you can have a max of 3 people at a time team with you and when thir not with you they can still lvl up.

its an awsome series to b sure......i currently own 2/4 im hopeing to buy the others when i get a chanse......i highly recommand this game to anyone whos a fan of rpg or anime

I got up to the end of the 3rd one I never beat it though my kickass team was Kite, BlackRose, and Balmung.

i play with kite,blackrose/gardina/sanjaro,elk thats my team although when i get balmung hell take the 2cd place and it will be me,him,elk

Balmung kicks a** he comes at a pretty high level too when I got him he was at a higher level than kite.

it rules i have almost completed the entire series just one more phase and cubia to go. woo hoo i own all of the games.
by the way an ideal team to have should be balanced obviously you have to have kite then back him up with a power user idealy blackrose or balmung and then have a wavemaster as a healer/magic user to help keep you alive

i've only played the irst one but i must say it's a cool one i'm gonna get the other ones 2.

you should although it gets a bit time consuming trying to find virus cores an easy way to sort that out is to unlock ryu book iv to get this you have to data drain alot but when you get it you have a full list of monsters you have defeated with alot of of detail like what their level is and what you can get from data drain

the reason you lose to magus is two things one you don't have a healer in your party they are very crucial for success two find armour with a high magic defense three avoid his obvious atttacks from his pattern and four make sure you destroy all of the leaves he drops your level should be high enough to defeat him with a fair amount of ease

I stoped at the 2nd disc, and man all the mobs at dungeon lvl 44 are hella strong. main party- kite, black rose, sangero

borrowed them, played them, beat them, loved them.

never actually did anything extra besides the story and grunty raising. my fav character was moonstone.

I played .hack 1&2 a couple years ago and I really liked it. I planned on getting the 3rd and 4th when they came out but never got around to it. I would get them now but I said forget it because I lost my Data flag to carry over my level 50 kite.

A good, if a little flawed battle system.

I liked the music, the graphics and stuff- I just hated most of the characters because of the "Don't at me!!!" thing- the reason I gave up on MMORPGs in the first place.

well i did have part 1,2,and 4 but i couldnt find part three anywhere i finished part 1 and i think like half way on part two, i was afaid to finish cuz i didnt have part 3, so i sold my part from online also my part one but i still have part 2, i might consider getting them all again.

I am currently playing the game, the games graphics aren't the best but it really is a great series.
