I'm just wondering where does the ninjas in naruto get their tools and weapons? I mean does the village provide their weapon or do they buy it themselves?
i understand that some specialize weapon are base on the shinobi's weapon preferences like the needles and umbrellas of the water/rain(?) village but what about the standard weapons (Kunai, shuriken, explosive seals etc), do they buy that? Some ninjas like temari and kiba have like thousands of explosive seals while others like shikamaru and naruto barely have one.

seals i think they make themself. the weapons however they most likely get handed when they go out on missions. its in the villages best interest that they have the suplies needed
Well, Konoha (I think thats how you spell it) is a pretty big area, so im pretty sure they have something similar to a blacksmith.

I would explain but i would rather find this old website about it, (and its in the encyclopedia)
so anyway, its said that they made their own tools, so the blacksmith theory is probably the most correct
Also considering they have a big village, that looks oldschool.
Although i get mixed up in the times, eveeryone walks, everyone where sandals they have old shops
but yet Kabuto has hightech medical stuff, and rouchi has a shower, lol
we havent seen anyone in konoha take a shower, So i think i want to be sound ninja

i think they buy the weapons, but if it goes below a certain number then the village may provide it for them.
