I juss finished making some icy looking tet and i was wandering how do i take it from 1 layer and paste it to another file so i can use it in my sig?

You use the marqee tool to select the part you wanna move then select the move tool to move it on youe sig. !

thx a lot man.. i juss gotz 1 more question... does anyone know how to cut?.. when i moved the text there is still a little black box around it that i wanna move...

You can use the eraser tool to remove the black part & if it's too close to the text then use the magic eraser

The 2nd 1 is the best!

magnetic lassoo is useful for speed sometimes though.. mess with tolerance and you can lassoo stuff pretty fast sometimes

also the filter-> extract filter is damned useful for removing images with hair etc from their backgrounds.. works similarly to quick mask i havent used it much but it works pretty well - if it misses any bits then just use the good old history brush to get back what it deleted
