First I'll give you a history:

My PC monitor sometimes started and sometimes didn't, I had a ATI Radeon 9200. So I thought there's something wrong with this. So i replaced it with a ATi Radeon X700. Then...

Sometimes when i started my computer up it would start beeping forever saying:

"Please check the power cable is properly connected"

A this point my PSU was 280 watt, but according to the X700 it needed a minimum of 300 watts. So i just replaced it with a 500 watt switching PSU. Now it doen't beep, but it still sometimes doesn'tload up teh graphics card and uses the default VGA monitor driver.

Now I know that it is not a power problem or a graphics card problem, because when i power on my computer, the graphics card powers up all the time, so power is going to it.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY COMPUTER?!?!!?!?!?!?

any suggestions?

You can load Windows right? Use Driver Cleaner to clean out all ATI drivers and then install the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI's site . . .

Windows loads and sometimes just using the vga adapter, and ati still tries to load the drivers for the graphics card, buts ince the graohics card hasn't loaded it says "no ati graphics card found, driver couldn't be loaded".

Driver cleaner cleans up all your previous ATI drivers (or any other drivers for that matter of your choosing). Whenever you install new ATI drivers, you need to make sure you uninstall all your previous drivers COMPLETELY. Otherwise it can cause unpredictable stability or other problems. Driver Cleaner does this for you.

After you d/l it. Choose "ATI" under the "Cleaning Selection" and click start. After it's done cleaning, go down the list and clean everything that starts with "ATI" Then reboot your computer and install the latest drivers . . .

If you still have problems, then you can know it's not caused by the drivers . . .
