Reset your CMOS . . . that should fix the problem . . .
ohenry64
how do you reset the cmos?
shadowfoxz
there should be a battery on your motherboard, take that battery out and leave it out for a few minutes, then place the battery back in, and it should have been resetted, or if you have the manual to your motherboard, then there should be some jumpers on the motherboard that you have to move to reset it, if your not comfortable doing this, then i suggest you call your computers repair center, tell them of the problem and then have them fix it for your happy.gif

and o_0, it looks like i finally have some one eles to be the tech specialist here at NC..........ish looking at spazzy boy over there happy.gif

also is there any beeps that the computer makes when you start it up?

and have you tired swapping out video cards?

my graphic card is a year old so its not that. and it doesn't make a beep. (like when you boot up a computer then it makes a sound, it doesn't have one.) I haven't messed with the video card either nor do i have a nother one.

Your motherboard manual should have detailed procedures in how you can reset your CMOS such as which jumper to move, etc.

Just make sure you disconnect the power connector from your mobo or unplug the power cord from your power supply before you attempt to move the jumper or battery, or else you risk damaging your system.

Yeah, no beep means some settings in the BIOS have been messed up and that you need to reset the BIOS (CMOS) . . .

Each BIOS has certain beep codes that tell you what is causing the problem . . . since you already sent it for repairs you shouldn't worry about it . . .

In that case how many beeps and were they short or long beeps?

The last time this happened to me, I fixed it by tightening the cable to my monitor. Just make sure it's not loose.
