Can somebody tell me what an .ini file is? Thanks in advance.

they pretty much hold the configuration of a program and are used to save user prefrences like if you clicked yes to an option and stuff. a quick google of "what is an INI file" will get you a more information, but yea, they don't cause harm to your system.

thats generally because there hidden from view.

"shadowfoxz" you are smart man!, but you could find out what the file is by right clicking it and go to properties and it would tell you that way too.
