I could bet that most of you didnt know taht there was such thing as a cellphone virus. But there are, and about 40 of them. they mostly affect series 60 Nokia phones. If you go to an anti-virus site, the names usually begin with the prefix SymbOS. these trojan horses and worms spread by bluetooth. They can do alot to your cellphone like restart them and alot of other things. When others are installed, they display pictures and messages such as This device broken by: Random Name. The virus file usually arrives in a .SIS file. So if you want to keep yourself safe from this trojans and worms you should turn off bluetooth unless you really need it and don't accept messages from unknown people.

yeah....i heard of these.. it is sad that these kinds of virsus came out

i lost my phone numbers by a virus that was sent to me while i was watting for another program to be sent to my last mobile from a friend of mine

But u don't need bluetooth to get a virus on ur fone u could just get it from wap.Coz my bro has a virus on his fone coz its always restarting,etc but doesn't have bluetooth,he only has wap.

sucks but your warrenty could probably cover it but if it can't i guess your outta luck until someone figures out how to remove it

usually when they get it from a souce other than bluethooth, its cause they were trying to install pirated software/games on the phone, or other shady stuff.

Shadowfoxz u have a point it was probally due to some sort of pirated software/game or some other shady stuff.But hopefully the warrenty wil cover it.

I had a virus on my phone. I don't know how my mate got rid of though. It took him a while to do it. The virus used to stop me from sending anything via bluetooth.

Don't you just hate those people with no life who know they have no life and sit in front of their comps making viruses. I mean whats the point?
