I would definately say Naruto but don't get me wrong Bleach has an interesting concept behind it.

i would looove to vote for bleach,but Naruto is still my pick XD its just more unpredictable and cooler then bleach :\ in a way....

Naruto. I havent taken the time to fully explorde the world of bleach, but from what I here its a good anime.

Really? I'll check it out some time. Naruto isnt really going anywere right now. Its just cliffhanger after cliffhanger.

While it is true that right now naruto is not realsaying anything I seriously think there is much to be expected. However, I can understand the situation with Bleach and why one would choose it over naruto especially at this point in time.

I think Bleach for me, I find naruto to be more predicatable then Naruto. Also I love the action in Bleach. Dont get my wrong Naruto is one of my fav animes but Bleach is just a bit higher on the list

BLEACH ALL THE WAY.......ninjas in naruto.....well....one could argue the shinigamis look like ninjas but those soul slayers i have to say are pretty wicked!!! Bleach's plot (xcept for the filler right now) is really good....i mean who would have thought of combining a hollow w/ a shinigami?

I like both. Naruto is more predictable I think. Every fight, Naruto would fall and stand up again ... same old routine. I like somebody else to be a hero sometimes. Why make so many good fighters and make them look so unimportant. Although Ichigo (Bleach) would always take a good part at the end, but it also shows others' ability are important as in a group. It also shows how Ichigo trains to be better... not just being stubborn. No offense, .. however, I like Naruto more because there're some mysteries that I long to see. For example, kakashi's true face, Itachi's story and what he's up to, Sasuke's condition (and hope for his return), Orochimaru's story and what he's up to next.. will he get to have Sasuke's body, and if so, can Sasuke kick him out by his own will... Well, I guess Naruto is more adictable. hehee ....

I know, it is a 2005 thread, but I would like to evoke this thread now, and I really want a good arguement if you are a hardcore fan of any of these series. Here is my opinion and take on this subject:

I think Naruto just became better versus Bleach with the newest chapter, which is chapter 431. The new Bleach chapter was fine but at the end Ully was winning, and I didn't really like that. To be honest, I loved Bleach, and I still do but not like I did before. After seeing that Orihime, which is my favorite female character in Bleach series, got into the bad guys to save his friends, I am just scared that she is going to end up dying, like Marimoto in Persona. I mean, why would a writer do such a thing?! The girl is so innocent, pure of heart and nice, so why would you want something like that go to the darkside and remove it from the core. I mean, it is cool and all but that is Ichigo's job. I just hope that Chapter 342 of Bleach has some cool Ichigo moves or else I will start losing interest in that series. While Naruto series is doing a great job. In the Anime they are showing us the how Naruto is learning the new jutsus which correlates to the Manga series which we are seeing right now. The writer of Naruto series is showing great effort in the series now and he is definitely making Naruto look a badass to an unlimited level. On the other hand, Ichigo is badass and all, and he got to the unlimited level too but now he is losing that after Ully just got so strong and nearly killed Ichigo, who was saved by the girl which he was protecting, Orihime. Sounds like he just got his ass handed to him by a girl, LOL! But still, I SERIOUSLY hope that Orihime doesn't die. I don't care if she doesn't get with Ichigo, though I hope she does since she loves him so much, but that doesn't matter. As long as, she doesn't die and Ichigo receives his badass level back to unlimited, I am fine. But right now it is not looking like it. So we just have to wait and watch. Don't know how long but Naruto series is apparently, for right now, better then Bleach. That's all for me.

Here comes my objective analysis. Lets start with Naruto. Part I was perfect, well maybe not perfect, but it was executed well. Naruto was the type of underdog type ninja. Yet, he only needed to prove once or twice that he was a capable ninja. Later on in part I, we saw that he was starting to be consistent, even though he was still learning new techniques. What did this do? It gave other characters an opportunity to show off their growth. We didn't need to be too worried about Naruto learning more techniques. Now in Part II, the notion was brought back; that Naruto needs to be the underdog again... and unfortunately its been the theme throughout the story-line. What did this do? It didn't allow to show much growth amongst Konoha's 12, at least not all of them or the important ones. We were anticipating, chapter after chapter for Naruto to actually do something, and in the end, nothing. So basically part II is just revolving around villains, Naruto, Sasuke, and a bit of Sakura. The growth of characters are not really executed as well as it was in part I. Disappointing to say the least. Now it may be the theme for part II to be revolving around Naruto and Sasuke for a potential part III, but I'm not sure. The new Jump Fiesta Interview (2009), didn't have any new information, especially if there will be a part III. I don't know why that question wasn't asked??? The interview was confirmed for those with doubts. The tone of the interview showed that Kishi was a bit disappointed in how he executed some events. He may not have wanted to do the things he did, maybe because of outside pressure from what producers wanted and so on. He expressed sadness when Jiraiya was mentioned. It is possible that he didn't plan on killing him off. The next 20-30 chapters will determine if Naruto is going to shape up.

Now for Bleach. Throughout the story-line Bleach has made amazing feats, which is fine. It's a bit awkward. The beginning, we are told that Ichigo has amazing levels of spirit energy. Great, but not really explained, unless it was just something innate that he was born with. And now it doesn't seem to be that amazing, especially now when facing off with Ulq. I guess they are trying to show now that Ichigo finally has reached a limit, which is nice. I didn't want another huge unexplainable power-up, like he usually has. The story-line is not bad actually. Not as deep as with Naruto. With Bleach, its easy just to make up stuff as you go along. Ichigo later down the line is going to have a power up, but it won't be through training. I'm not sure what exactly, but I don't see him getting any more powerful than he is right now. If he does get more powerful on his own it will be very subtle. But back to how the characters are focused on. This is something that is consistent and nice. Perhaps too much time has been spent away from Ichigo until recently, but all is good I think.

Summary: Naruto has a better story-line, and it has so much potential. Although, I wish I knew what was going on in Kishi's mind. I hope he doesn't plan on ending the manga soon. Naruto has so much potential and they are not taking advantage of it. Anyways, Naruto is grounded within rules and boundaries. Huge growth such as in Bleach doesn't really happen like in Naruto, which is nice. In Naruto you gain some sort of satisfaction from the struggle each character goes through. That is what Naruto has and what Bleach doesn't. Although Naruto learning sage mode so quickly kind of does push it a bit. Naruto could get better, and I think it will (hopefully). Bleach is good as well. Right now the story-line is taking a good turn in events. It just doesn't have the appeal Naruto has. And one last thing. I find that Bleach is just better drawn. In Bleach, there is just so much detail, which I like. I guess its just a subjective taste of mine.

Naruto because I instintly connected with the show when I first seen it almost 5 years ago?

And bleach because the 1st episode had a5z kicking action and it was just easy to connect too also.

i don't like naruto as much cause for one bleachs enimes are alot cooler and have cooler powers. Number 2 sasuke just pisses me off. number 3 bankais are cooler then ninjustsu and genjustsu. number 4 Ichigo is just a cooler person then naruto. Naruto has the dumbest specialty out of all the ninja shadow clones thats so lame i mean the rasengan is cool but its stupid that he can't do it without shadow clones. naruto is good don't get me wrong its just that bleach is more for me i think the fights are cooler in bleach see Ichigo Vs. Grimmjow, Ichigo vs. Zaraki Kenpachi, Zaraki Kenpachi vs. espada #5 etc. as and examples
I know that this is a naruto site and everyone is bias towards naruto but i got news for you naruto may be a great anime but it isn't the greatest several in my humble opinon top naruto here the are
