theres a possibility that ichigo may and can be a captain himself :\ oh and theres Renji and Rukia,though i dunno if rukia is qualified to be a captain herself
I don't know why 2 people said kuukaku when neither ganryu nor shiba are shinigami.

Renji and course and then possibly Rukia. In the latest manga chapters she (Rukia) seems to be bizarrely powerful. Plus in flashbacks, they show Rukia to have more spiritual power and control than Renji. So yea, Rukia.
Know why Rukia didn't become a seated officer although she is strong enough? Her over-protective brother would never let her be a vice-captain =__= zzzzz

For the 3rd division, i'd that say Kira will be. For the 5th division, Renji will be captain since i see Hinamori being too emotional. With Renji as her captain it would help her. For the 9th division i would say Hisagi should be captain and for 13th divison's Vice Captain i'd say Rukia. For Vice Captain for 3rd, 6th and 9th...... not sure who the'll take.

There's a chance that they will take back those who were banished from Soul Society. Namely Isshin/Urahara/the girl who can turn into a cat, also forgot her name. First off, what Urahara did to get banished was make a gigai, not do anything like kill someone or such. Then there's Isshin and the girl, they helped Urahara. And so, they got banished as well. So a thing as light as that would be forgiven for the lack of strong shinigamis and they'd be taken back, even if they're just for a fill-in.
But for those who will NOT be chosen, Ichigo is one of those. One, he's turned into a Vizard. That's against the morals of shinigamis, because he's using the powers of a hollow, which means that they are partly a hollow themselves. Two, he's also part human. And he doesn't have much experience.

Probably Renji is one. although they asked Madarame Ikkaku to be a captain bec. he can do bankai, he refused bec. he only wants to be under the command of kenpachi. i also doubt rukia will be a captain bec. byakuya is so protective about her and he don't even want rukia to be an officer bec. it's more dangerous than being a mere soldier. so, the vice captain of yamamoto will probably be an option and maybe kira...hehe...just a guess....

kk well renji i think for sure wnats to be a capitian but will have 2 pass sum test 2 get ther i think, he'd probably fill 5th devision (didnt he get busted down ranks for what he did at teh end of the resque rukia story?) and kira would deffenetly b in charge effectively of 3rd devision as hes that devisions vice anyway. as for what ever devision tousen was leading (i compleatly forget) i dont see anyone that would fillin there (as the vice captians a bit of a rookie) ikkagu wudn't b a capitian even if they asked him he dosnt want 2 leav zarikies squade and has already flat refuse renjis offer 2 apply, as for ichigo there never gunna let him in seritie more than he is now till he's at least dead (capitains kinda a full time job) + with the emergence of his hollow

Seeing how a lot of the beaurocratic processes were destroyed by Aizen before he left, I don't think this argument will be resolved anytime soon.
Renji definitely, he needs to refine his bankai, but he is pretty much on par with some of the captain's power levels. Rukia is a lot stronger than we think, we have seen her with drained raitsu 90% of the time, so we kind of peg her as weak. Her powers looked pretty good though, definitely VC level. She might serve under Renji, although she might not go for that.

I think the Arrancar arc is going to be really long, I dont think Ichigo is going to defeat Aizen at this point (at least I hope not, he is nowhere near as strong as he should be to be able to go up against Espada).

Taicho,Taicho,Taicho hmmn let me see,Ichigo out,Vizards out maybe Kisuke,Tessai,Yorouchi,Isshin probably Ikkaku too.For Isshin we don't know why he is on earth to begin with,his back story ? Ikkaku,when old Yama hears that he possess a Bankai bye bye Yumichika is coming in tow,for Tessai I believe a transfer is in order from the Kido Corps to the Gotei 13,since Aizen has come forth and the Central 46 gone I think Kisuke and co. will be given a red carpet reception,though I hope they can even enter Soul Society maybe they have been bared in more ways than we can see.Remember when Urahara touched the senkai gate while Ichigo and co. were going to Soul Society the first time?It shocked him (electric) and (shocked) him,also he had this look of longing in his eyes,about time he packs up
