which of the two guys from samurai champloo would beat kenshin faster?

Ive never seen Samurai Champloo so i dont know.... but my bet is with kenshin

i think you should watch it because 1) mugan kicks *** and 2) gene is a lot like kenshin

Oh if you wanted to know. There names are spelled as Mugen and Jin. If they doubled team Kenshin I'm sure they would definitely win, hands down. But I'm still sure that Mugen can take Kenshin down by himself.

pinoy is exactly right mugen would take kenshin advantage away, kenshin's enemies give him to much time to think when they fight him.

I say kenshin, i mean guy was the most feared samurai in all of japan, he's got beyond god like speeds, and mugen and jin cant touch any of his techniques ie. amaka reu-no heriamaki[sp?], ya know the ultimate attack of the Hiten Mitsurugi style.

what about samurai x kenshin? i dunno about mugen lasting to long his dodging skills are good but his fighting style is wide open leaving many areas undefended. Jin would have the most chance of getting him with his more traditional style. with this argument I'm ignoring the over the top nature of the series as it hit the kyoto arc. I'm going with the more realistic himura in samurai x.

Well, it 's alrady been proved in Champloo, that Jin has just as many openings as Mugen, as Jin has said. That's why he had never been able to kill Mugen. But I'm sure almost nobody will pick Champloo over Kenshin anyways.

If you have cable - Check out on Cartoon Network, every Sunday, at 11:30 PM. It's an excellent anime created by Shinchiro Watanabe, the creator of Cowboy Bebop. Basically it's a sweet samurai anime with a hip-hop twist. But here's a brief summary.

One day, two wandering samurais, Mugen and Jin, meet in a teahouse and clash their swords together only to test each other's abilities. But the battle is soon postponed when one crazy samurai sets the entire teahouse on fire. The magistrate's son was killed in the fire and the town's magistrate has ordered the two samurais to be arrested for intervening. A young teahouse waitress, named Fuu, helps them escape their execution trial but there is one small catch. Mugen and Jin must help Fuu find the samurai that has the scent of the sunflowers and postpone their battle until they do so.

Kenshin of course. Schamploo is made to be realistic, In Kenshins world they have all these supernatural things, and super powerfull techniques..Althought Mugen and Jin are very good swordsman, they can't beat all those crazy moves Kenshin has.

This is not even a fair fight. Kenshin will obliderate Mugen and Jin at the same time.

we all kno mugen is dumb enough to fight wit jin so then kenshin comes and kills both of them

this thread is almost as bad as goku vs vegeta... mugen and jin are good and all but kenshin is above good... he could beat them if they had there swords and kenshin had a stick... yeah i know they could cut the stick to pieces but the thing is kenshin is so fast that he wont need to block

Samurai Champloo is a nice anime to watch but their fighting style and strength just do not have that much impact to me.

So i definately prefer Kenshin! Other than being a nice guy, he was a hitokiri battousai, and the strongest of all battousai mind you and with his small frame and flexbilty, he's freaking fast such that he can master that Hiten Mitsurugi style in perfection. And after which even when he was carrying a sakabatou(reverse blade), he was still very much invincible! Hands down for sure~ No fight ah

You have to keep in mind that the slightest move or blow is all that is needed to throw a fighter off-balance or drop their guard. Kenshin is powerful, no doubt. Mugen's fighting style however, is too unpredictable. Not even Kenshin would know when would be the best time to strike at times, with Mugen flipping, flying and swinging around like we all know he loves to do.

Mugen also attacks both high and low within seconds of each other. All it would take is for just one moment of suprise, hesitation or uncertainty, and Mugen would take advantage of that. And when you go up against a breakdancing samurai, you would be suprised. Don't try to BS me by saying you wouldn't be, because we all know that's crap.

Oh, and someone (don't remember their name now,don't really wanna go hunting for it) said Kenshin would win because Mugen wasn't well educated. That's probably the dumbest argument I've heard in this topic. Notice how Mugen doesn't mess around? He doesn't stop during the fight and talk all the time ala DBZ? He's like a top-once he gets going, he can go for quite a while. Imagine Kenshin trying to confuse him with Macbeth theme hypothesis, as each word flies in one ear and out the other while Mugen simultaneously slices Kenshin to ribbons. In short: Literacy has NOTHING to do with a fight.

Yeah, Kenshin would win hands down. Samurai champloo also isn't very interesting to me. It's ok, but the whole god-like powers from kenshin interests me more.

Kenshin could definitely beat Mugen or Jin in a duel but im not sure if Kenshin can beat both of them, at once in a surprised attack.
