The film is out for ten days or so and I belive many people have watched it despite New Moon releasing a week later....
personally, I found it to be a horrible movie. Who cares for the characters? Give us the destruction scenes already....

It was an awesome movie. The monster wave in the himalaya mountains, and the small monk in his wooden house, was a very cool animation.
The theory behind this, the collapse of the world, is cool, somehow.

It was an OK movie. The cataclism had the best CGI I've seen in a movie, and the context is good too. Don't get me wrong, he 2012 millenarism is just plain stupid, but it was a rather original doomsday cause. Neutrins heating up Earth's core? Scientifically laughable, but creative nevertheless. Like you said, the down side are the characters, and I think hte movie would benefit ennormously from a director's cut, with less half an hour or so of babble talk.
