Kishimoto got a lot of questions on whether the series was going to end soon. However he has only decided on the plot; the series will continue for a long time still.

Interesting, because the current arc should be about to end and that arc could have easily ended the series. Akatsuki's pretty much dead, Pain is defeated and all that's left is Madara, Kisame, Hawk and some Bijuu's which could honestly be finished within a year at most.

Kishi will have to throw us a huge curve ball or come up with a completely new arc for it to still be around a long time. Maybe after all this is over it will finally be appropriate for another timeskip complete with a fresh new story.

But if he continues on with the Akatsuki feud and Sasuke chasing when he could have easily ended it now I will be disappointed. This part of Naruto really should be coming to a close and if Kishi keeps it going for some easy cash I will loose a lot of respect for him.

I'm happy but I'm also kind of worried, I seriously hope the whole Naruto vs Sasuke ends soon...it would be kind of stupid to do another time skip with Naruto still trying to get Sasuke back. Besides the 4th war and everything that should be happening soon seemed like a good ending to the series so I'm hoping he'll introduce another arc that has nothing to do (or at least isn't centered on) with another crazy Uchiha.

I agree with both of you. I think Kakashi should be the new Hokage, then this whole war is fought and won, then Naruto and Sasuke should resolve everything, then Naruto is instrumental in "bringing peace to the Ninja world", then Naruto and Hinata get together!

Then there should be a timeskip and a new arc/series (no longer called Shippudden) begins with Naruto and crew in their twenties and THAT arc could be when Naruto becomes Hokage! (Which might mean that Kakashi is killed....for good this time)

wow...I'm surprised ppl are forgetting about certain characters still alive, and certain things that could happen.


I know this whole 10 tail, Madara thing is great and all but lets not forget about one person who could very well kill Sasuke in the future and be the next major Villain to deal with..Kabuchimaru. I agree I do see this Akatsuki/10tail/Madara arc ending before Kishi moves on to newer things in the series and have always thought of another timeskip coming ahead.


Plus he could let us know where is Narutos mother exactly, what happened to Rin, Kurenais child who Shikamaru will be the sensei of, Konohamaru who will continue to live on the Sarutobi legacy, and so on. I don't see Naruto being Hokage anytime soon, in fact, I see Kakashi then quite possibly Naruto. I can't blame anyone though for forgetting or thinking that this series would end soon. This arc really went deep in the Narutoverse past and is explaining a lot of things. Like where the sharingan, Rinnegan, Byakugan originated. Where the demon tails came from, etc.....but Kishimoto still has yet to answer a lot of questions. Heck for all we know, Danzou could escape into the shadows and disappear even after the war occurs and become the next villain along with Kabuchimaru since he was looking for Orochimaru. Who knows really.

They could explain all those things in a chapter if they wanted. Kabuchimaru could make a cameo and help Naruto out then probably be defeated. These things are extremely minor and definitely play into the current arc. If this arc is going to take longer then a year to finish Kishi is doing something horribly horribly wrong.

Also if Danzou is the next "major" villain I am done with Naruto. It would be just the same thing all over again, KISHI NEEDS TO SPICE IT UP!! This arc has been going for like 8 years or more by now, that is a completely mammoth arc - longer then any other manga arc I have ever seen. Another year of this and I will be COMPLETELY and UTTERLY bored with it. If Kishi plans to keep this same crap going for 3+ more years I don't know what I will do >.<

Can you imagine if Piccolo was the main bad guy of Dragonball all the way through till the end of DBZ? I mean it is different yes, DBZ was just one recycled arc after another and even though Naruto has been in the same basic arc in it's entirety they have changed it up a lot. But the fact is Naruto has been going on 8 years or so with the Ataksuki/Sasuke retrival and it is getting totally ridiculous.

lol yea I can see where you are coming from. I'm sure he'll introduce new characters (hopefully). All I know is that if Kisame dies from this battle against Killer Bee then I can see this war ending sooner than I thought. Anyhow, what I meant by Danzou being the next villain I meant he could very well be saved from this war by hiding in the background and emerges with kabuchimaru. Plus with the recent rumors and possible spoilers, he might be the first who wields both a sharingan and a byakugan at the same time...So that is definitely a different addition to the story. A huge one to boot.

I do agree there are a lot of characters and minor details that could go further...but Kishi really needs to add something new soon if the story isn't supposed to end with this arc. Like Zeriah said the whole Akatsuki thing has been going on far too long...Kabuchimaru doesn't really bother me but I do think he'll show up eventually but probably after Madara's done with. There's just too much sharingan/ Uchiha stuff going on!

Good point. But that's why I said "MIGHT die". I was just thinking along the lines of after a timeskip, some major new villain comes in and kills the Hokage (Kakashi) which causes a whole new arc which begins with Naruto becoming the Hokage.

@Mitsuhide....you're right. There ARE alot of things that are yet to be resolved and explored. I think there needs to be more movies made that touch on some side stories. Like in DBZ they made that movie that was about Trunks in the future and the other one that was about Goku's dad. I for one would DEFINITELY like to see a movie about Naruto's dad!

Blehhhh it would be soooo boring if Madara is defeated and whatever and Danzou comes out after it is all said and done. So bored of the same characters and same stupid eye lazor doujutsu bullcrap. I hope he is just involved in this war some way, either dies or redeems himself, Sasuke comes home, Madara is defeated and then done.

Then we can skip ahead 5, 10 even 15 years with COMPLETELY new events. 8 years following the same basic story is completely and utterly unheard of and why a lot of people gave up on Naruto after Sasuke got away.

Yep, you are absolute right. Danzou is a weak coward and he dont need a own Arc in the future. I hope he dies that old fart.

I dont know, but for me kakashi is not the right person to become Hokage. He is a smart and strong Ninja for sure, but when i remember his ambitions as the leader of team 7 at the beginning of Naruto? He was a crap leader for me. Naruto and Sakura learned not realy something from him in that time. Something is missing. For me there are better People for this jop, like Shikaku Nara.
But the war finally begins, so i think naruto has even the chance in order to prove.

Somehow, i hope Tsunade comes back to awareness. She is a good Hokage.

I really don't think will be a timeskip until Naruto make something amazingly big with his air element. I know he has done a lot, but I mean something outstanding in power and visually. Shippuden receives that name for something bigger than a RasenShuriken. I am expecting something like Kirin, but a lot more powerful. That will finish Akatsuki Arc.

The Hurricane saga must have something bigger than Kishimoto have shown.

I agree, I really want him to create an amazing techniques all on his own using just his wind element!
