Ao: "It doesn't seem that this was a trap of Danzou's. It's more likely the Akatsuki's ninjutsu."
He gets rid of Zetsu's spore jutsu.
Ao: "Maybe I/we should hurry..."
Fuu: (Says something about Zetsu's jutsu and how it preys on and transfers the vicitm's chakra to the host)
They/He is liberated from Zetsu's jutsu too.

Danzou: "So even you didn't notice it then."
Torune: "So, what about the guy who has been tailing us for a while now?"
Fuu: "He's still at it... It'd be good if he fell into [our] trap though."
Torune: "Your trap is special. It'll work"
Danzou: "I don't care if he lives or dies... But take out his right eye."
Fuu: "Wha-"

Danzou told them to take Ao's right eye because he wants the Byakugan he has.
Fuu: "...I'm leaving my body to you in sec, Torune."
Just about then, Ao runs into the trap. A puppet attacks him with a sickle(?)
Ao: "?!"
The sickle are thrown at him, whom catches it and throws it back at the puppet, lodging it into it.
Ao: "A booby trap... This time it must be Danzou's."
There's a note on the puppet's forehead with the kanji for 'curse'. The kanji disappears.
Ao: "?!"
Puppet: "What is going on? How can you see my body?!"
Ao: "The mind-puppet switch curse seal technique... That's the name of this jutsu."
Puppet: "Damn it! Is this a mind-switch that curses whoever attacks you?!"(Unsure)
The puppet is actually Fuu.
Looks like the mind of the puppet switched places.
Torune: "What do we do after this?"
Torune is carrying Fuu's human body over his shoulder.
Danzou: "I'll tell you what my intentions are as soon as Fuu returns to his body."

Tsuchikage: "It's because of Danzou's recommendation that it's come to this. And then there's the question of whom we should leave the the high command of the Shinobi alliance to! Is there anyone qualified for the title of 'Kage'? You were the one who said that the Gokage, including myself, are worthless, Mifune"
Mifune: "I think Raikage-same should be it, though."

Tsuchikage: "But didn't you said that he was unsuited since he lets him emotions rule him?"
Mifune: "I have no doubt that now that he knows Hachibi is alive, he's going be more composed than before. What I said earlier was me jumping to conclusions. Please forgive me. Tsuchikage: "Mizukage, Kazekage, is that fine with you?"

Tsuchikage: "You're such a guy with a commanding tone."

Raikage: "I don't need your faith, though... But at this rate, the Shinobi world itself will disappear. There is no other choice but to leave your own feelings out and cooperate!"
Tsuchikage: "Well, better than losing this war... If the shinobi world were to disappear, then quarreling with you is out of the question... So I'll cooperate. The Shinobi Alliance is formed!! First we must let the feudal lords know about this."

Meanwhile
Naruto: "Wha..?! What did you just say, Sakura-chan?! I think I misheard you, say it again."
Sakura: "As I said, Naruto, I like/love you! Sasuke-kun doesn't mean anything to me any more! I don't know why I could love anyone like him... I'm confessing to you here, so listen to me."
Naruto: "But why...? How come...? If you're joking, then this isn't funny at all... Sakura-chan.... Just... What the hell happened[to you]...?"

It has been confirmed by a few different sites. Wow..Sakura really is one dumb broad. Does she honestly think just because she tells Naruto I love you and that she let go of sasuke that Naruto would so the same?? Narutos ninja way is too never give up especially on your friends. And Sasuke to him was Itachi was to Sasuke.

WOW! I have sooooo much to say about this chapter if this is true. First of all, we need more Kisame vs. Bee!!! Secondly, I wonder if Danzou wants the Byakugan for himself or just to reclaim it for the village so that another village doesn't have Konoha's jutsu. Third, WTF is going on with Sakura??? How much more laaaaaaaaaaaaame can she get??? I hope Naruto doesn't forget that Hinata confessed first!!! (and not just cause he "saved everyone and is the hero who protected the village")

Exactly. Hinata appreciates, loves, and admires Naruto with her own will, on her own will. Sakura is doing so because 1. It took Sai to open her eyes. Of all ppl Sai. Who's connection with ppls emotions and so on are below average. and 2. She is doing so because she feels that everything is her fault and wants to make herself feel better.

And Danzou...man he is intelligent but I have a feeling he wants the eye for himself. if thats the case, he is the biggest p***** in the narutoverse. I apologize ZF. But if that were the case then he is depending his skills on doujutsus instead of his own. Much like Oro did with learning every jutsu in the world. And look what happened to him.

The start of the fight part seems nice so are the discussion among the kages..However,the part Sakura confessing to Naruto...nt to my liking though...

I'm one to give sakura a chance but that just sounded really crappy man, that was the corniest s**t i think i ever heard in naruto. Good to see naruto has his head on and doesn't believe her.
As for danzo i think he wants the eye for himself he just seems to be the type of character like that.

I really agree with you. Not only the confession was the corniest of all the mangas I read, Sakura had the nerve to say let's forget about Sasuke. I knew it was going to happen. She have been manipulating Naruto for so long just to get her sasuke back its ridiculous. Sakura thinks that Naruto is getting Sasuke just for he, but the most real reason is that Naruto thinks sasuke as a brother to him and Naruto is not giving up on Sasuke no matter what. To think that sakura could come up this much bullcrap and just love Naruto just because he is all handsome and saved the village....Sakura is just a mean ***** and she is just there for love interest/pairing fodder. At least Hinata's confession was honest. Now Sakura's character development is just ruined BIG TIME and finally Naruto is tired of her crap.GO NARUTO!!!

Agree 127% AmariBunni. Specially about Sakura's character development. I thought she matured from my point-of-view, but I guess I was wrong or I was just dreaming that she finally grew up. Maybe both. *shrug* I really can't wait to see what Naruto does next chapter. He'll probably remember Hinata's confession and pimp slap Sakura! Or not.

I may be alone here, but I think this is the most mature Sakura has acted this entire series. We already knew that she had feelings for Naruto, particularly during and after the 4-tails and Orochimaru fight. She may have taken a page from Hinata and finally owned up to her feelings, or she genuinely had no idea that Naruto felt so strongly for her. Either way, I'm sure most if not all of us can understand how it feels to like or love someone and not know if they feel the same way. It is a terrifying issue to confront.

I, for one, welcome the change in dynamic to their relationship. Naruto has always had troubles expressing his more serious feelings to others, which usually ends with a punch in the face or a bump on his head. Having others confess their adoration and respect for him is something he is not used to, probably the reason why he suspects that Sakura is toying with him. This is something he has always wanted, and now that it is happening, he doesn't want to believe it is true.

Or he sees some sort of manipulation in Sakura that I am just not getting . . .

I might be a little behind in the series, but didn't the whole village congratulate him when they returned? Or am I wrong? So off that, correct me if I'm wrong, Naruto has had a whole village respect him and to me it didn't look like he had a hard time believing it. I'm probably wrong though. My brain forgets way too easily.

Anyway, how is it mature? That's what I want to know. Why is she telling him now? Why is she insisting on Naruto to forget Sasuke-kun? May you please explain how her "confession" is mature?

I'm about 90% sure that Sakura doesn't even feel that way, especially after what Naruto said. I think she is just feeling guilty for what Naruto has sacrificed for her and what she has put Naruto through, and Naruto saw right through it. It's painfully obvious that she still loves Sasuke, feelings don't just disappear like that. But now I think she is beginning to doubt that it will ever truly happen, and after Sai opened her eyes of Naruto's feelings towards her she feels like she has to be with him because of a mix of guilt, obligation and almost "settling for second best".

Fortunately Naruto saw right through it, he's far too good of a guy to except something like this. Even if Sakura truly feels this way he'd still put her in her place for giving up on Sasuke. This is Naruto's personality, to never give up. If Sakura feels like just giving up on Sasuke he'll probably call her a bitch and turn her down.

Still I give Sakura props for finally being mature enough to understand just how much she has been hurting Naruto. Even if it's 3+ years too late and someone had to tell her lulz.

If this is true, Sakura's development is a complete mess!!!...It's starting to annoy me (regardless of how much sense the whole "I love you" theme makes.

Woah woah, for one guys I think you are taking this the wrong way. If this dialogue is true then wow whats with the rush? But honestly though Naruto has had Sasuke on his mind for awhile now and its just more than her saying to stop chasing him. Now, I think, Naruto believes that if he allows himself to love Sakura, then he is taking something that belongs to Sasuke... taking his brothers girl in a way. Also it has been two years. She never once mentioned, since time-skip, that she was still in love with Sasuke. She had 2 years to start feeling things towards Naruto and get over Sasuke.

Also she is telling Naruto now because Naruto is hurting himself and degrading his pride for what everyone believes (plus myself) is a lost cause. It is a mature way of showing care for someone else, especially someone that means a lot to you.

Sakura is still the same as part one and her attitude towards people(espicailly Naruto) pisses me off the most. She's worse than trash, she not only trolled her own feelings but she broke her teams nindo by abandoning a team mate.

To make it three strikes she just made naruto a target for danzou since he ran away from konoha and acted against orders (orders which she and rookie 9 have fallen in line with).

thats makes 2 comrades she's abandoned in total, not to forget she betrayed sai by once again trying to manipulate naruto, something that sai already warned her against. She also betrayed Hinata and tried to undermine her feelings and confession by doing this not to forget that she left tsunade defenceless back in konoha.

Her confession felt underhanded and a lame attempt at manipulation.

There was nothing behind anything she said, no urgency, no real emotion, no belief and just hot air.

I read the damn thing twice and each time I'm left thinking..WTF!!!'.

Not only is she trying to decieve naruto but this was an attack on him on so many levels!

ill do my best to list them off:

1) she compared naruto and sasuke, then outweighed eachothers success/failures as a reason for her 'love'.

To me not only is that shallow but to compare the both of them in front of him is like saying

"well....sasuke has his cool points, but you have more money... but then again im still not really sure if i like your whisker marks, but fame is good...but still...hmm decisions,decisions."



2) Her motivation behind these words.

quick reminder: she came all the way from konoha after recieving a bollocking from sai to correct her past actions, ie to put an end to her PoLt (manipulation), so keeping in mid that was her motive for this visit, what does she decide to do ?

...she decides that manipulating Naruto further would somehow solve the problem ..*****!

Its a classic 'carrot and stick' manouver. Offer him her body or the notion that she loves him and he'll be easily guided away from what ever he wants to do...*****!

In the end her actions and decision left me with one clear conclusion, not only is she manipulative but she is the most selfish gold-digger ive come across!

TBH she doesnt really care about sasuke or naruto, as we have seen she's slagged off naruto on numerous occasions and today she's also dispensed of sasuke, so why is she doing this?

simple really, she lost one road to fame and fortune and doesnt want to lose out on another. Love,feelings,guilt or even moral concious never came into the equation in this visit.

she even said it herself: naruto is now famous, sasuke isnt!...nuff said.

3) Her kind words and flattery pissed me off, i knew somthing was up as soon as that bitches lines went through translation! Everything she said that was good about him was nothing but BS!

Sure she hasn't said she loved him, but has she really had an opportunity to say it? What was she just going to do? Say it to thin air or proclaim it to Naruto to hurt him even more then she already was? The one time she did see Sasuke she was barely conscious from the feelings she was having. Every action she has taken, her body language, her treatment of Naruto all point to her still have firm feelings for Sasuke. As the guy above me said her confession just sounded like hot air, that she didn't really mean it. Naruto wouldn't say "I hate people who'd lie to themselves!" and "Cut the bullshit!" if it was just out of loyalty to his friend, it was because he doesn't believe what she said. Sure it could have been a severe translation error, but Sakura just sounded so halfhearted.

Perfect quotes of what I'm talking about. Sounds more like she is settling for Naruto because she has given up on Sasuke, feels guilty about what she has put Naruto through and that all he has done for her deserves some sort of reward. I don't think like the guy above me though, I don't think she is doing it to manipulate Naruto or hurt him at all. I think she doesn't know what to do or feel after what Sai said.

Imagine yourself in her situation - Suddenly realizing that for 4 years or so your good friend has loved you deeply, done everything for you and that you have unknowingly been breaking his heart almost every day by being awful to him, but you don't feel the same way and you truly love another but he is away and a headcase that wants nothing to do with you? I'd probably rush over to the other person with hugely confusing and conflicting emotions. I think I'd feel huge feelings of gratitude, guilt and obligation and I'd suddenly think "Well the one who I truly love wants nothing to do with me" and "I could give it a shot right?" but that's not love, and if the person who has done all this for me is anything like what I thought she would probably see right through it. Sure in romantic chick flicks I might suddenly and without warning fall for the other girl, but not so much in real life. Instead of love I'd be feeling guilt and obligation and even if I did begin a relationship like that I don't think I'd truly be happy.

I guess we will find out what she really feels soon though haha.

The opportunity moment is a bleh thing. Also if you recall Naruto too was overcome with a lot of emotion when he first saw Sasuke as well. Now you probably will say 'Cause he views him as his brother' well can't Sakura say the same? Also if she did have the opportunity who is to say she wouldn't reach the conclusion she has come to now?

Once again your making speculation on basis in the past. You are acting as if she acted like Ino at the diner, all over Sai because he resembles Sasuke. There is no proof that she is still in love with Sasuke but there has been proof of previous chapters since the time-skip to prove that she has definitely been falling for Naruto.

And so what if Naruto isn't her first choice of what she thought was love? Is it not the same situation for Naruto and Hinata? Hinata was nowhere NEAR his first choice, in fact you think about it Naruto is to Hinata as Sakura is to Naruto.

Here's something you seem to be forgetting Matt, while it's true that Naruto's feelings for Hinata are a lot like Sakura's feelings for Naruto so to are Sasuke's feelings for Sakura. Sasuke has not once shown any inclination that he returns Sakura's feelings. Naruto has been actively trying to win over Sakura since the day the manga started, and here it is handed to him on a silver platter. If Naruto believed what Sakura said he would be all over this. Of course it would be different if Sasuke does have feelings for Sakura but he doesn't. So why now does he pretty much spit in Sakura's face? I believe it is because he does not believe it. If the "I hate people who'd lie to themselves!" part is true he has pretty much confirmed it.

Naruto was overcome with emotion yes, but it was a completely different reaction then the one Sakura had. Sakura fell to her knee's crying with a look on her face of pure anguish and heart break. Naruto was merely stunned and soon began attacking him. The two did not have a similar reaction. Naruto also has never had romantic feelings for Sasuke like Sakura has, so yes saying Naruto having a brotherly type of reaction and Sakura a romantic type of reaction is a totally legit point.

Matt Sakura's entire focus this timeskip has been Sasuke. Her body language screams her true feelings, if you really don't see anything there I don't know what to say =/. Naruto has never said he "loved" Sakura either but by your logic he has no feelings for her at all. Also there really has been no proof of Sakura falling for Naruto, the one and only thing has been what Yamato said back in the Oro arc. If anything I'd say Naruto and Sakura's relationship has been the most brotherly and sisterly that it has ever been and if anything Naruto is beginning to move on from Sakura. But then again it could just be my NaruHina bias blinding me.

I don't really want to argue to you about it Matt, especially considering I am highly biased at this point. We will probably find out in a week or two anyway haha.

I may just be basing my opinion on the characters in general and not so much on the past few events. The Pain issues were a major turning point for several characters, and the outcomes have thrown a lot of previous developments in new directions (Jiraiya, Kakashi, Naruto, etc.) but especially Naruto. I did not forget that Naruto was welcomed back to the village with cheers and gratitude after he had defeated Pain, but what did he do? He gazed, took it with stride and tended to other matters. There's nothing there to indicate that he was "used" to this behavior in any way. That is why it is significant to us as readers, because it is the first time it has happened.

As for Sakura, I've always been under the impression that her love for Sasuke is more based on a high school crush and lust than actual love. Their relationship never really grew past Sakura chasing him and forcing herself upon him only for him to inevitably reject her. That screams immature to me.

But to spend time with someone and gradually develop feelings for that person as you begin to understand who they actually are? That seems much, much more mature than the former. From a writing perspective, it actually creates some interesting messages within the story because of the relationships between Sasuke/Sakura and Sakura/Naruto. Relationships only last when the love goes both ways and when it isn't all take and no give. I think Sakura realized this when Sai smacked her upside the head.

I don't mean to pry into the argument any further, but I am genuinely interested in this "proof" you speak of (for informative purposes - if there is something I don't know, I want to know). You don't have to explain it yourself, but if you could point me in a direction where I might be able to find it, I'd be most appreciative.

I think it is fair to say that our opinions are essentially apples and oranges on this matter, which is fine with me. I love a good debate every now and then, and the great thing about Naruto is that we eventually find out all the gushy little details! Here's hoping for a great issue next week!

Its simple to see that Sakuras feelings are not just based on a crush. See a crush would be what Ino has for Sasuke. Sakura after and before the timeskips always felt the same for Sasuke. Caring for him, always worrying about him, even when she saw him for the first time in episode 1 of shippuuden she was just utterly shocked. Now for Ino it was more of a crush because the times when we do see her she doesn't think of Sasuke or his well being. And all she could say that was relating to Sasuke was that Sai looked like him and that he was cute. Yes Sai reminded Sakura of Sasuke as well but it didn't faze her at all because she knew that it wasn't the same. Anyone who has had a crush (or who has seen enough chick flicks. Thx Wifey lol) can see the difference.
