I came across this site searching google looking for mugen chars and got caught up reading through the old mugen stuff such as the fan club. There were pages and pages of stuff it was so popular so to me it seemed. But why is Mugen not really allowed anymore, i dont understand. well thats my question.
(sorry if this is wrong thread I couldn't seem to find one that fit this topic very much. btw im new here this is my first post i cant wait to get to know you guys!)

What exactly does the term leeching mean?

Well, the FC was originally meant to share characters across the community so everyone could get a good play of them. It kinda broke down when it came down to "OMG I NEEDZOR *Insert character name*"
I'd be glad to re-open the Mugen FC if I knew it wasn't going to break down again. I mean, I'd love a proper place to release my works. But yeah. "OMG CAN I HAS THAT CHARACTER??????!!!!!!" is kinda of a big turn off from reviving it again.
And leecher is exactly what I described. They ask for characters, don't give thanks to the creator or even acknowledge the create in some cases.
"OMG I'LL TRADE MY *Insert character* FOR YOUR *Insert other character*"
Until I see some sign that this will not happen, then the FC is staying dead =/

Ok , yeah i understand, so i guess because i didnt even bother to sign up into the forums and just downloaded about two chars i would be considered a leacher. But i understand now that you guys put in ALOT of hard work into those characters for that.

well, a lot of the characters on the old mugen FC are classed as offline now, since they arent hosted at any legitimate sites
legitimate sites are basically the creators own website, or somewhere the creator has given permission for it to be hosted
As sad as it is, when it comes to offline characters, the rules are, pretty much anything goes

any mugen topics are supposed to be closed and deleted.

i left this topic open because it isnt a typical mugen leeching question, it actually opens the floor for people to ask why mugen isnt allowed here
