A signature of Reita, the bassist of the band called "the GazettE". If you wonder what he is wearing on his nose, it is a accessory called noseband.

Please tell me what I can improve on this signature, thanks!

BT =O What happened bro? This isn't your best work... lol

I'm getting mix emotions over this. Beautiful background with a nice c4d (I think that is a c4d, I could be mistaken). The two major problems I have is your lighting effect (Which is a bit too bright and doesn't effect your render and kind of degrades the text) and your render not blending that well. You did a nice color overlay but Idk, the render just seems iffy to me. I would have liked to see it better blended and have the light source effect it somehow so it doesn't look like it was just placed there you know?

But then again you don't want the render blending TOO much so that it doesn't hide the point of the sig (Which is to idolize that person.)

Beautiful background (Has a lot of depth) <3 Very simple but yet artistic and catches your eyes. But your render and lighting for me killed it =[

Thanks for the reply =)
Yea i had a hard time with the render, I'm not a person that usually uses "real person" as render, you cant really use the same blending technique as u uses on animecharacters. I was having a hard time with the text too, what do u suggest i should do with it?

Make Reita to Cloud of FFVII quality. Then it blends <3
I don't know how.... but =X

Yeah RLF renders seem to make your head scratch but they have different blending styles. This render does not go with the background at all =/ Sorry bt but it doesn't =[ In fact I don't know what could go with this background. You created the background first before putting in the render didn't you?

The background is so full of depth that it doesn't have room in my opinion to add a render into it. It actually could stand on it's own two feet =] Which is good/bad. Good for you cause it's a beautiful background but bad because you can't add anything else to it.

Now the reason why your text seems Iffish is because of your light source. A tip I've learned over the years, just like shading/coloring art, NEVER use a complete white or a complete dark for anything. You should have used a really light red or greyish dark red =] Another technique that could have worked is to add your light source first, then let all your other layers above it merge with your sig to accomplish a legit light source. Or just put a *Thinks of term* Hue overlay? Err.... Color map? Bahhh where it says 'Warm/Cool' color xD It would change the light source color and somewhat background to blend them together =]

I was actually putting the render on the sig first, i was going to use a similar theme as the original picture.

I option to finish my text was this:

But it was like i was hidden the text which i didn't like. The right side would look kinda boring if it was too blended imo.

Hmmm I see now where you were headed =] Then I don't know what went wrong lol xD Though that text looks much better opacitated due to the light source above it <3

I hope I don't sound too critical... It's a good sig =] Just not one of your bests imo <3

No, its cool =) I just take this as a opportunity to improve my skills! Thanks !

edit: i posted up the same signature on NextGFX forum and a member said that the render was good blended and the text itself was not a problem, only the placement was because it created a "second focus".
Hotagi101
*shrugs* Matter of opinion I guess =] Though he could also be better than me xP

looks nice
imo the thing that lacks here is the placement of text/picture ^^

Lol agreed, since the render is chopped on the leftside and the top it was kinda hard.

Very nice happy.gif

I think the text distracts from the focal a bit. Maybe lower the opacity just a bit. wink.gif
