As Naruto heads back to the village, exhausted, Kakashi appears and lends him his shoulder.

Naruto makes it back to the village. Kakashi thinks to himself: "you did real good...[Naruto]"

From a distance, Hinata sheds tears, relieved he's indeed made it back safe.

Iruka remembers how Naruto was all alone as a child, and sheds tears seeing how he's now loved by everyone.

Sakura aproaches Naruto and smacks him on the head, but then embraces him and says "thank you..."

Shikamaru's dad calls for an emergency meeting (since he's the Head Jounin). 　

その様子をゼツが見ていてペインがやられるなんて…これはトビに報告だ…
Zetsu is watching. "To think Pain was defeated...we'd better tell Tobi."

場面は暁に
Scene switches to Akatsuki.

ゼツ　ペインがやられ　おそらくコナンもここにはもう戻ってこないと思う
Zetsu: "Pain was defeated. I doubt Konan's coming back, either."

マダラ　外道魔像とリンクできるコマを２人用意しないとな…

Madara: "We'll need to get two 'dummies/pawns'* who can link to the Gedou Demon Statue. Kisame, you go after the Eight Tails - there's something that needs my attention."

*exact meaning unclear. "koma" is "piece", as in an object you use for something. So here he's ostensibly referring to people who are of no other use to him but to connect to the statue, or perhaps two human-like placeholders.

The emmissaries from Lightning finally arrive at Konoha (probably took them as long as it did 'cuz they just had to do comedy on the way).

Tsunade is comatose in her granny state, like she used up all of her power.

サクラも手の施しようがない…と
Sakura says there's nothing that can be done for her.

So, they start a meeting to select the next Hokage.

Before Danzou can nominate himself, Shikamaru's dad nominates Hatake Kakashi.

Danzou makes a face.

みんな賛成をするがダンゾウが一喝
Everyone's in favor, but Danzou throws a fit.

I thought Danzou would have had to fight for the position or at least do some serious espionage and political maneuvering. Getting the position after saying just one sentence is pretty fail.

I was ecstatic when Kakashi was about to become Hokage, I was saying to myself, "yes I was right!!" then Danzou comes out of nowhere and drops a one liner and gets promoted????? I hope Naruto puts a rasengan up his behind.

Hhmmm,i was just thinking since Sasuke is heading towards The leaf village n if Danzou is appointed as Hokage,there might be a chance of Sasuke fighting against Danzou since Danzou was part of the team that instructed the annihlation of the uchiha clan,which will probably end with Danzou dying or uncapable of being the Hokage...Hokage will usually be the strongest or one of the strongest in the village if i am not mistaken.
I have no idea how much capability Danzou has as we have neva seen him in action at all.... Anyone any idea?

Me and my friend were just talking about this today....I knew it!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!

Is Danzou stronger than Naruto???...

NO WAY!!!!!!!.....

Well one thing this does confirm that many have speculated. Danzou is not Madara/Tobi. He can't be in two places at once but, this proves more that Danzou is working with Madara/Tobi. He sent out Pein to destroy the village and put it in disarray as he knew he would thus allowing for Danzou to take advantage of the situation which he did to become hokage. I knew and said way before this fight was over, that Tsunade would either die or step down because of her age and that Kakashi would be appointed thus why I always knew he wouldn't die but at the same time accepting if he did, but I was surprised by Danzou's incoming.


Anyhow, after this chapter this proves even more that Danzou was or is indeed Madaras pupil. Both know mist arts, Anbu root and the mist village shinobi are trained alike, Danzou ordering the annihilation of the Uchiha clan so that Madara could summon the nine tailed fox to destroy the village, and now this.

Yes you are correct, Danzou in no way is stronger than naruto infact I'll go as far as to say no one in the village is. But the fact remains naruto holds the nine tailed fox within him so he cannot be appointed Hokage just yet. Besdies Naruto has yet to accomplish his deepest goal, returning sasuke so i think he wouldn't accept it because he would feel un-worthy. However when he does is when I think he'll become Hokage.


Although I'm myself am aggravated by this outcome I must admit this will make the story much more interesting. Anything from this point on can happen. Now that danzou is hokage who knows how naruto will react to it, maybe he himself will become a missing-nin (something I predicted a long time ago).

If Danzou indeed became the Hokage saying a single sentence... hell, I've seen better plot twists on 10-year old girls school texts.

WHAT!?! DANZOU CAN'T BE HOKAGE!! At first when I read Kakashi was gonna be Hokage I was like 'Damn yes!!' But now.. I dunno what to say. 0_0 If Danzou's Hokage it's bye-bye Konohagakure.

naruto's not even a candidate atm he may be the most powerful nin around (sage mode + 9 tails means he's out of anyone's leauge (atm) chakra and destruction wise) but experiance both as a ninja and on the political arena he's really barely more than a genin in fact no his belive that sasuke could come home and not be throwen into a cell then watched continuously shows academy levels of nievity. while he might work to change this atm its just not possiable and he should really have realised this
as for danzo and kakashi iuno i can see more happening with danzo in charge i mean look at his character its pretty much been built for this role possiably we'll see naruto throwen into special anbu ops or something simmilar for homeland security (simmilar to what the 8tails guy was probably doing) with kakashi im unsure where naruto would end up he has no teacher if that happens and while he can fight on mad levels he's showen no ability for long term planning or leadership thus is still kinda unsuitable for chunin possition mabye special jounin? anbu but i doubt kakashi would throw his student that fast?

i kinda want danzo to get it and the elders to be killed by sasuke that would set up an epic sasuke after danzo thing and naruto being ancored into deffence possiably being ordered to hunt/kill sasuke deffinately some bad ass times ahead me thinks

what art's? do you mean mist people/conections coz as far as i can remember all we've ever seen either of them do is stab a frog with a anbu style katana (kodachi whatever) and that weird ass interdimension slid thingsy (wich im pretty sure is madara specific? (could be wrong not 100%)

Ugh I give up.

This manga is sooo frustrating to try and figure out its type of government. Anywayz on to more important matters, it's nice to see Danzou doing his evil part. I want to see Kishi dive more into the political aspect of all this and show that sometimes the council room can be more dangerous than the field.

Like Im so confused lol.

Convincing everyone with one sentence to become a freaking Hokage is the complete opposite of what you are saying. Nowhere in the world does stuff like that happen, it's pretty clear either Kishi doesn't give a toss about it or doesn't know a god damn thing about politics.
