how did u start out?
first forum ever that i participate in, i didnt know anything about double posting or tripple posting, and so on. at first, i didnt know how to work the forum... i would look and topic and it would take a while to try to reply to it. and i would double post. then the members there would pm me..... about the rules.. then i quit the forums. got back about 5 months later and did a little better.

I had no idea what spamming was. Uhhh, I double posted like hell and so on. I was such a terrible noob

Lol I just read the rules of the first forum I joined and never had a problem. I never double posted/triple posted and knew what spamming was right away. The rules of that site were very direct and pretty in depth.

The rules are plastered all over this site, but still it seems a lot of people who join, when this is their first forum seem to never read them, and break the rules because of it =_=

My first forum was NC, but I never really spammed at first, but somehow got pulled into the crowd and spammed along with them.

I only got warned twice, so I guess that's a good thing.

After becoming a mod, I toned down on the spamming and I don't really have to time to come on NC anymore anyway. ):

At first I was horrid. In fact NC was mf first Forum. YAY! Lol, no more spam, and double posting. (Maybe triple posting when I started)

i was a lurker, spent like a couple of months just reading what others wrote before i actually posted anything.
I'm still like that sometimes, i join and shut up, unless someone says something i just HAVE to respond to.

I, like Zeriah, always read the rules and never had a problem. xD

I spam on occasion. And hell, at least I don't double-post. I didn't read the ruled either. I just signed up, and tht's all.

I had to read the rules so that I won't warn the members wrongly lol.

And during those "sessions" at GL, where they go on and on abt the rules I had to read it.

Lollz .. as NC's is my first forum . my friend told me that i dun have to tripple posting . i wonder why is it at first.

@Yana949, the reason for no double or triple posting is so the page can load faster. =D As explained to me by one of the mods here. It was either a Zeriah, or Nonye, or it was NarutoBT. Not exactly sure. But any way's that's the reason. And I think that was me and Nonye that told you about the posting.

It's also to stop people from getting their post counts up when they don't deserve it. Believe it or not the icons are a pretty big motivator for people to post and when someone double/triple posts every time when more than one person replies to you, or you have something else to add later but no one has replied yet you are getting posts you did not earn, because you could have put all of that in your first post. Which makes people who don't spam/double post and follow the rules mad, because the other person is cheating. Which can in turn make them also cheat, get in fights with the other person or leave the site entirely out of frustration.

Also the rules are stickied (a thread that will always be at the top of the list) in EVERY forum section on the whole site >.>

Yah, lol I know what you mean. I was jumping when I hit Sasuke/Genin. It's kinda like a game. You just can't wait to get to the next level. Which go's in terms with what you said. People get mad when other's cheat, because that person is working hard while the other isn't.

Easy, if you break the rules and are warned about what your doing a certain number of times, you get banned. Meaning you r account will be closed and you will not be able to re-register.

lol what will happen if you break the rules, you inure the incurable wrath of the MODS * doom laden terror voice*. for about a week or less. no nii-chan is right you get warnings and depending on severity of the rule breaking could get banned from there you have to spam hard to get banned from double posting, the closest ive ever seen was someguy who spamed like 20 pages with 7 or 8 post at a time i was sooo close to banning him outright but i warrned him that he'd pusshed it and further rule breaking of anykind was liable to get him banned and he stoped.

as for me hum i started i guess on bleachportal lurked a lot then posted and chatted with the regulars on the popular topics (still there lurking as popinchan -i lost my old accounts password) never really got warrned i think. Archie is a good boy lol, then came here and got warrned a bit for getting overly excited about dead topics i was postting on average 20 -30 posts a day for a month or something

Haha lol. You know the only forum I think I never figured out was NarutoKun. So I guess I'll stick with NC. Besides this forum is even cooler than my forum. Oh yeah, and you understand everything better right, Yana? If you don't then you seriously need to read the rules lol. But as said before when I first started on NC, I think I posted 5 times in a row on one topic. O_o Thank god I don't do it any more. I mean since I have dial-up, the loading of pages was killing me. I WILL NEVER DOUBLE POST AGAIN!! (At least not on purpose)

the reason why no0bs dont read the rules, well, because they are nO0b, as i was once. after registering, i was confused about the sections and the forum and just started clicking at random topics and see if i can reply to it.
i did not read the rules, the news section in the forum didnt look that interesting, so i just roll pass that, seriously, after a member register they should be teleported to the rules section to make it easier.

lol... when i was a noob.. (still am really.. XD) i didn''t know how to even check for new posts... D= also.. i didn't know there was the whole.. fast reply thing... i also sisn't know how to put the spoiler tags and how to roleplay.. ^^ i have to give credit to the members of AM and NC for being so nice to me.. especially when i know i annoy them with meh questions.. lol.. Wasn't a n00b at any point. This was my first forum. I read the rules straight away. They're not that hard to miss.

As Ui pointed out earlier in the thread. I, among other people, are big on not breaking rules.

I remember my first forum I was around 12, it was this site where you could fight with naruto characters, the more posts the better your char. I met this guy named BLue who I spammed with, we created stupid games everywhere lol.
I quited stayed away from forums and contacted him when I was 14 and he started a Naruto RP forum(which was very good for the longest being absent again i don't know what happened to it @.@) He musta been on that whole time because I was teh biggest newb, I didn't know what graphix were I didn't know how the layer of [bbb][/bbb] lol I was horrible.

Got into a big fight with L2D or something like that. I think the topic might still be here but i aint searching 4+ years of topic on this place. Also I got my account suspidended for 3 days if i remember.This was when i first joined. But i will try to find the topic if you guys are all intrested in it.
