Well I'm guessing that us COD fans were kind of nervous about checking this game out since it was created by the people who created CoD3 (Treyarch not Infinity Ward). Well put your worries aside cause this game is hardcore Not only is the campaign merciless and keeps your hand shaking from the excitement, it doesn't really focus on the Nazi army that many WW2 games do. In fact, it focuses on wars that are never really talked about. Also this game is more bloody and has a 4 player co-op.

The mulitplayer is solid. Like CoD4 you will have the same system but has a few new multiplayer types as well as over 40 new perks. Also the major difference is the 7 kills dogs... these guys don't mess around. They will attack you in groups... lets say you see one dog attacking you, and you kill it but watch out for your left and right sides cause your probably getting attacked again... you kill them both but all of a sudden you die... chances are you probably got attacked again in the back or the enemy heard you fighting their dogs and hunted you down... yeah dogs are not pretty xD

There is also this Quirky game type called 'Night of the Living dead' The game puts you and your friends inside of this bunker while millions of Nazi zombies break the walls/windows and doors trying to eat you. As you kill more waves, they will get stronger/faster while your ammunition starts to run out (start having to use the knife) you can also try and repair your bunker but after awhile this just becomes useless... it's really fun and new to CoD series.

If your a fan of CoD4 then you definitely will love this game

I am very tempted to buy the game cause my friends and i love cod4.
Was not happy with lack of online multiplayer.

Does this have online multiplayer that allows your game of 4 to go online?

Yep Up to 4 friends are allowed to play the campaign with you but thats as far as it goes. The only draw back is that two missions are taken out due to it not being compatible (the sniping mission and cargo mission) Also it has this kind of Halo 3 system with these collectibles called Death Cards. It's exactly like the skulls.

As long as the online play is as good as CoD4 it will have no equal in that regard I would imagine.

i need to check this game out. COD4 is pretty cool (played it at cousins) and played it for a few days sriaght. BTW... when does it come out again?

It's already out ^^ and trust me the story is just as powerful as CoD4... better in opinion

Depends on your skill level of course... If your pro of course it's going to take less time than most people. For me on veteran took around 7-10 hours =/

CoD 4 is epic and almost all my friends were and still are pissed off they went back to WW2.

You'd think the higher ups would put 2 and 2 together and realise people love modern warfare more.

Still, it would have been a challenge improving on CoD 4. Which is why I will check this out by rental.

to be honest, i think cod5 may be a bit of a let down since its going back to the whole world war 2 theme

what made cod4 good was the fact that is was modern warfare, which gave a lot more ways for you to play the game

First of all, this thread is so misleading! It should be called Call of Duty: World At War, not Call of Duty 5. Call of Duty 5 is most likely coming this year, which is going to be named Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2, or something similar to modern gameplay. I can't wait for the trailer in the summer or in the spring. It's probably going to be awesome with lots of features and customizations! That's all for me.

COD5 Is a good game but definitely lagging in being the best COD ever! Very fun to play but the game is extremely short and replay value is low.
