I still think Tsunade is being irresponsible but from the way Danzo acted Naruto obviously is a thron in the man's side... so the question is what does Danzo have to do with Aktasuki or why does he feel threatened by Naruto... he might even use this struggle as an opportunity to assasinate Tsunade the sieze control of the village... Naruto's new technique is obviously very destructive.. I can't wait to see it XD

another possibility about Pain's secret has occured to me is that Madaara could be using Nagato's body and using the snail-like mask as a seal/chakra wave emitter to contol the Six realms of Pain i.e. his concealed eye maybe the Rin'negan... the probablity of this is very low but still.. theories are theories... pretty decent chap overall though

Sorry... a circular debate implies that there is no victor... unfortunately for you our debates usually conclude with my victory whether you accept it or not... it'd unfair to say our little arguments represent an infinite loop of opinions and theories with equal or similar levels of justification...

My point being, state your opinions and back them up… I might even agree with you occasionally, given that there is at least some sound reason as to why, rather than having me to attempt to salvage something even similar a point myself... I only disagreed with you just before because you made a large and false generalisation which admittedly slightly irritated me, even if it was meant in jest… palming off these disagreements and disputes off as pointless is an easy thing to do as reading manga and watching anime really are inherently pointless along with a host of other things that aren’t necessary to existing in this little world we affectionately call Earth…

If you at least had half an argument then I’d be tolerant… things that I find especially annoying are theories with little to no reasoning as to why people proposed them in the first place, the main thing that irks me being when people post thoughts about the existing and subsequent paths the story could take that BLATANTLY CONTRADICT PAST EVENTS OF THE MANGA/ANIME!!! Such things are immensely frustrating… another important point is that my opinions and views can be changed... I'm not hard-headed or conceited enough to believe I'm right even half of the time... so don't make me out to be the bad guy here... prove me wrong and it's your victory... I couldn't care less about either winning or losing because in the grand scheme of things it is truly meaningless... although at the same time points must be made and accepted or rejected only after each opposing party has made their arguments and justified them accordingly…. but sure enough you're going to say that you can't be bothered dealing with me because you're 'tired' of our petty squabbles... Incidentally, if you're tired and it's late at night get some sleep... Sleep is relatively important if you don’t want your health to deteriorate and have a decent quality of life i.e. it’s kind of important…

Or how about me and my theory that Danzo is part of the Akatsuki or Madara lolololol but lets forget about the Madara one. I also want to point out that nobody forget Kabuto either, also the 8 tails and the Raikage (I think that is the correct one... may be mistaken) and Sasuke. Seems like to me, there is going to be a very big cataclysmic clash soon ^^

Also, Gaara still has his sand correct? It would be silly if he didn't and was still able to claim Kage position... why not ask for back up from them first? I'm pretty sure that Gaara has a few bones to pick with Akatsuki right now. I'm also wondering why cloud had two bijuu and actually treated them with kindness... Cloud is starting to shape up to be one of my favorite countries within the Naruto Universe...

no.. he'll just use this opportunity to seize leadership of Konoha possibly attempting t or killing Tsunade in the process... Naruto is a big thorn in his side if it came to that so it would be preferable if he wasn't there during the inner conflict... and then use his position of power to manipulate Naruto when he comes back, harnessing the power of the nine-tails by manipulating Naruto into believing someone else is at fault for whoever gets killed which leads Naruto on a journey of vengeance much like sasuGay against the people who killed those closest to him? who knows... he obviously has a hidden agenda by preventing communication with Naruto...

he's always wanted leadership over the village and is a warmonger so there might be a large conflict in the foreseeable future XD... We now know that Rain and Mist are controlled by members of Akatsuki.. Iwa and Oto might join them but then again Kabuto is hard to understand... he only wants to kill sasuGay (who is in opposition to Konoha) but only treats Naruto as a kind of rival now... so Oto might Join Konoha if something like that happened... Cloud might not join the opposition though… the Hyuuga incident and the tension between the two villages after the last war was quite significant but the current Raikage doesn't seem to have much animosity towards Konoha... too much to consider *sigh* meh...

I like the idea of Konoha and the other hidden villages dissolving and the new era that Pain envisioned comes.. then it's up to a resistance movement of the remaining konoha shinobi (most dead) among others lead by Naruto to overthrow what is now a large empire stretching across the elemental nations presided over by Pain or Madaara (or both you read my once sentence lame a** theory.. could happen though lol)... there are many variations of this basic plot that I would like... Though I doubt anything as large scale as that could happen.. take forever to finish... but the a similar premise could effective...

Another Great Shinobi war would be my bet though... It's about time we see some harsher struggles in our protagonist's life.. where he has to become a leader and through his actions and his 'revolution' bring peace to the world or utterly destroy it as the prophecy foretold consequently surpassing all Hokages and Kages alike... achieving greatness on a scale unprecedented while Naruto the search of acceptance to prove he wasn't a failure or a "dead-last" as his classmates so affectionately dubbed him.... now that's a basic plot that I would like...

When I saw the spoiler pictures I thought Danzo killed the frog to keep Naruto away from here to protect him. But now it's obvious he has some ulterior motive. I doubt he has an alliance with Akatsuki, otherwise he would have brought Naruto here as quickly as possible. My guess is it's something else entirely.

Good chapter, I really enjoyed it.

If Akatsuki is after Naruto it does seem irrisponsible and rash to fetch him and lead naruto right where they want him.

But then again, Naruto wouldn't sit still even if he did found out about it. Poor frogie got pummeled i guess, though. To me it looked like he disappeard and left his goggles behind lol!

tumble i browsed ur post butmay have missed somethings (skiped parts of your rant as it was not dircted at me ) danzo isn't working for atkutski, he may be a ass but he's konoha hardcore + the set ups wrong for that its been gearing towards danzo trying something for a while now he's more than likely just takeing the oppotunity thats presented to him + ensuring his/konohas greatest asset isnt risked.

madar controling pain? its possiable but it complicates things (whil it would be cool if he had one sharingan eye and one riningan) i recon keeping them seperate is a better move as it makes madara less tiersome next time he's used (like say atkutski fell and then madara comes back and trys to finish it i think itd suck if he'd been tied to pain i want to see him slink off to keep for another day.

poor kakashi tho two pains and their both leathal from medium range thats gotta suck for a mianly short to mid range fighteri forsee help or kakashi getting his ass handed to him (tho it'd be quite funny to see pain lose part of his face to the vortex eye i doubt it happen now there are 2 pains + they know of the technique from dei

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that Archie. Not saying what you said isn't possible, but people do things with good intentions (to them anywayz). Here is a group that has taken each of the countries greatest weapons and now one man is destroying a whole village in which two countries combined had to do. As stupid as a choice for someone to make, I believe Danzou has so much loyalty to Konoha that he would try to align/make a bargain with Akatsuki to save his village (and what better way then keeping the bargaining chip away?). Also, in the process him finally becoming Hokage and or leader of other countries...

haha.. sorry about the rant... my third post actually had stuff related to this chapter lol... the second one was me ranting and venting... but seriously.. who doesn't love a good rant XD...

and I'm Australian.. the manga comes out Friday around 3-5pm here usually so it's not to bad.. although it's midnight right now so I should go to sleep soon.. but I agree about Danzo having no association with Akatsuki and is using this opportunity to seize control of the village and with Naruto out of the way (at least for now) he has one less person to deal with... this being necessary because Naruto is obviously seen as a threat by the old man...

If he succeeded he may either order Naruto's death or attempt to manipulate Naruto into being his tool and given the right motivation such as the death of poeple colse to him such as Tsunade, Jiraiya, Iruka etc. he may be driven over the edge.. each of these possibilities would be interesting... I've said i bit of other stuff in my third post which I'm not going to restate *sigh*... he wouldn't order exile because Danzo isn't the type to leave loose ends, we've seen that much from his past actions...

Danzo is a warmonger and doesn't believe in the principles that the Shodia and the subsequent Hokages had i.e. the "Will of fire"... What Danzo wants probably lies with the destruction of Konoha so a "rebirth from fire" type deal can take place... He did conspire with Orochimaru so I wouldn't put it past him to bring down hell on his home village just so he can rebuild it how he sees fit... the alternative being he doesn't have anything to do with this attack but is just using it as an opportunity to gain power which still leads back to him remodelling the village and running it as he sees fit i.e. cause war to eliminate future threats etc. there might be another reason but these seem to be the obvious ones... but this one would be a good catalyst for the Fourth great Shinobi war in which Naruto can rise as a legend XD

THE REASON IS SO OBVIOUS!!!! Remember when Pain stated Akatsuki's plans with the Bijuu? Well the last step was to create an ultimate jutsu and sell it to the highest bidder so to speak (not really.. I just like saying that XD) so the elemenal nations would be launched into unprecedented chaos... with Naruto out of the picture for now he can use the knowledge of his whereabouts as a bargaining chip for this ultimate weapon if he confronts Pain... and if he siezed power he could easily use Naruto himself as a bargaining chip... or alternatively he has been in contact with Pain and is now using Naruto as collateral to guarantee whatever deal they might have had.... of course I'm assuming Danzo has knowledge of akatsuki's plans, the counter argument being that his spy network is probably much more expansive and might run deeper than Jiraiya's... also, I wouldn't be surprised if Akatsuki intentionally leaked informtaion to bait people like Danzo from the Hidden Villages... this is just a short theory and it is pretty **** but oh well.. it is still a possibility... at least it seems quite realistic... I guess we'll have to wait and see...

OMG, I didn’t think it was possible for Kakashi to get any cooler….but he managed to do it! Demon Pain was summoned to assist God Pain to battle Kakashi…

Yup, I don’t agree that Danzo is associated w/ Akatsuki in anyway. He just wants the village to be in complete chaos so he can plan his takeover and/or assassination.

its too early to be deciding this but i think danzo is evil, i dont think hes working with the akatsuki though. he has his own plan. i like this chapter. For tsunades decision, i dont think she was irresponsible, she knows what naruto can handle so she is putting faith in him. i like that new jutsu that kakashi used, the lightning dog, that was nice. i still think that hell die since he is fighting two peins.

Tsunade’s decision to bring Naruto back to the village may not be irresponsible, but it is a HUGE gamble. For Akatsuki to capture Naruto at this point would most certainly spell doom for the entire world. She is the hokage, but is putting trust in Naruto to save the village….isn’t that kinda like HER job?!

well you have to look at this from her point of veiw there was a reason jyhirya was asked to be the 5th befor tsunadi and it wasn't because he was conveniantly placed j-man is sooo much more powerful than just about any other ninja out their pain bearly managed to out power him and it started 3 on 1 then progressed to 3 on 3(kinda remember pain still had a huge advantage team work wise) then ended up 6 vs 3 (and here im counting to old sage summon frogs as equal parts to a pain body)

anyway my point being j-man was sooo much stronger than a single pain not to mention anyone else in the village, if naruto is being said to surpass him (as in is doing so) then he's the best hope for the leaf to survive i mean honnestly no other team in konoha could stand a chance everyone from chunin down would be wiped away by paintsunadi would probably manage one on its own (if she could keep it taht way) as could kakashi gai'd have another one and thats about it for certainany other hits on the pain's would be dependant on luck for people like the rookies and higher characters working in teams and even then its not likely as when pain got in trouble he'd get another him to come to the rescue

why's the appearance of demon relm pain make kakashi cooler? i mean sure if he isnt dead next chater he'll get extra credit from me but he hasn't even scratched god pain yet, demon pain just makes me worry about kakashi getting pummled faster.

and as for danzo i dont agree he has a better spy network than j-man had its my firm belife that itachi was jyhriyas spy inside atkutski that he didnt know at the time of the uchia masacar but that itachi got in touch with him and tried to warn konoha about atkutski's intensions i mean he knew his health was in decline and that once he died this would likely come to pass so he has every reason to try and arm konoha against atkustki, i'l admit that the theory's not perfect (j-man not knowing about madara is one big sticking point) but to think that dazo would have itachi reporting back to him or a older member (remember not even all the ten main members knew about the statue's purpose) as a spy it just dosnt sit with me especialy as root and konoha have showen no knowladge of atkuski befor j-mans talk with kakashi/who ever else

Gai will come to try to rescue/assist kakashi making it 2 on 2, Danzo will attempt to take over/kill tsunade, and naruto won't hear about any of this happening until it's too late .....least that's what i think will happen. The only good thing i see coming from this is naruto might actually finish the technique he's working on since he has no distractions

recon this show's along with j-man stabbing the 3 bodies throught the torso (chest) that the bodies of pain are atleast partialy dead more than likely something along the lines of the impure reserection technique (or more likely a perfected verrsion along with the remote controlling device wonder if this could do anything for kakashi's fight i mean conventional damage may not have the normal effect on them?

Danzo has many hidden agendas and has been constantly undermining the Hokage... he strongly opposes the ideologies of the pervious Hokages and the village and only really cares about the "roots" of Konoha... everything else is expendable... as long as Konoha could rise from the ashes... I'm sure he wouldn't care if a few of his opposition dissapeared also... and it's not as though he had an emotionless or resolute expression.. he looked damn evil man...

Well Archie.. they're being operated by Chakra waves of emmitted at varying frequencies (As Shizune implied) so it would seem as though yes they aren't truly alive... They seem to be controlled like an advanced form of a puppetry that doesn't require chakra strings but it seems to function in a similar fashion... but yeah...

and Nasuto's new jutsu... It's seems to be a kind of wind jutsu of an unprecidented scale.... or it could be the complete Wind Release: Rasenshuriken infused with Nature manipulation.. possibly able to throw it judging by the distance he was from the trees... The way those tree-like things (i have no idea what they are... but they seem organic..) were cut seems to fit... I kinda hope it's not though.. I'm kinda sick of the rasengan even if this new one would be far superior

I still think Naruto is a long way from surpassing Jiraiya at this time. He may have the Taijutsu skills now that he has Sagemode, but his Ninjutsu is a long way off. He doesn't even know his second affinity yet, not to mention not knowing any nature based Ninjutsu other than Rasenshurikan. Also his Genjutsu defense is pretty awful.

Not being able to keep some of the enemy at bay with Ninjutsu (Jiraiyas mud, Giant toad traps, cones of fires) will mean he is fighting all 6 Pains at once with just Taijutsu and shadowclones (Don't even think Rasengan or Rasenshurikan. No way would he be able to land one with six opponents). Which means some are free to engage with him in the Melee while the others are able to summon things and use Ninjutsu. No way could he defeat them. I really wish he would sit down and learn some actual Ninjutsu, imagine all the cool things he could do with Wind. Even some of the basic Wind techniques could really help him.

He does have some massive potential if he ever gets around to controlling, or working together with the Kyuubi. But everyone is telling him not to have a thing to do with it. So unless he goes completely apesh!t about something (Maybe if Pain kills Tsunade and/or Kakashi) I doubt he will be using the Kyuubi anytime soon.

So yeah I really think Tsunade is making a really bad call with this. Naruto would still loose against more than a single Pain. Also there are other people who could go toe to toe with one of them. Hinatas dad, Kurenai (since they do "singlely" have a weakness to Genjutsu) to name a few. Also honestly a squad (One Jounin 3 Chuunins) could probably hold their own against a Pain. Once the Village gets organized I really don't see how Pain can win. We are talking hundreds maybe thousands of Ninja here. Against what? 6 people. Logically the village will be perfectly fine without Naruto. Pains mission was nothing more than a surprise attack, to abduct Naruto during the confusion. Without Naruto here, Pain will have to retreat very quickly. If Pain truly defeats a thousand people, Kishi will have truly broken all bonds to reality and the story would be, for lack of a better term, retarded.

Finally Matt I doubt Danzo and the other elders are going to last long anyway. Sasuke will kill them, be sure of that.

i recon you guys are overestimating how many skilled ninja their are in the village + u have to remember anything below high chunin is just going to be a draw on the forces trying to keep pace with pain like the sand village was for garra against dei against pain even in squads most chunin are going to look like kids kicking jounins. i doubt pain will get away scot free once the anbu and tsunadie wade their way in but at the same time they have the potential to work through the confusion and level a fair amount of konohas forces. personaly i see the end of this fight comming in time with sasuke's arrival andthink we'll probably see a withdraw but not befor pains cleared mabye 2 or 3(max) times the damage the sound/sand invasion caused.

I don't think I'm overestimating how many people there are. Kishi just never ever shows it because of how annoying it is for him to draw it. But there have been a few occasions. Such as the Sand+Sound attack. There were HEAPS of Konoha ninjas. All Adults and a good portion probably Jounin. Then there is the ANBU where every single one is Jounin level. And yes I think if Pain continues to have only one or two together at a time 1-2 squads who work together all the time should be able to keep a single Pain at bay.

The reason why Pain is so strong is all the Pains support each other. That is why he is almost unbeatable in a fight. When he only has one of them, they are just individually on the level of a really strong Jounin. So yes I do think that one or two squads could defeat a single Pain. Then if they decide to all team up they will have the whole combined might of Konoha on 6 people. Which is really an impossible fight for him. Pain wasn't here to destroy the Village. Once he realizes Naruto isn't here he will leave, or all his "Bodies" will die.

Yeah It's easy for any skilled Ninja to cause a whole lot of damage to the town. One giant summon and he can pretty much flatten the whole place. But I doubt the actual fatalities will be as high.

I agree.. I'm not sure whether he'll let all his bodies be sacrificed though... but Diedara proved that if he had he intention he could have destroyed Suna... and he was one of the weaker members...

well can't wait till the next chapter because Kakashi's going to try to fight god pain and demon pain. (which might fail horribly) i mean Kakashi couldn't touch god pain and Sakura! WOW she's doing great.

Despite him possibly delaying Naruto, it was so refreshing to see such a cold hearted kill.

It is debatable I think. If he can get rid of Tsunade quickly and easily it might very well be for the best interest of Konoha.

When you think about it, a lot of decisions she has made has been focused upon what is right for her friends and the people she cares about, not what is right for Konoha overall. While I like Tsunade, one could argue that it could very well be for the best.

But I like Tsunade and I think she is HAWT, it's also obvious Kishi won't let it happen so yeah.

I would agree that he is going against the ideals of Konoha.

Dude is just a loyal extremist which is why he aint popular.
Would still be nice to see him prove that he is worthy of that bad*** attitude
