Everyone should watch Blood+. It's as simple as that. It combines action, romance and vampires (chiropterans technically)
What more does a show need? This is probably the best show, not just anime, that I've ever seen.


Blood+ was inspired by the 2000 anime film Blood: The Last Vampire; [ NOT THE BEST MOVIE ] however, there are only a few allusions and basic elements from the film.

Under the care of her adoptive family, Saya Otonashi has been living the life of an anemic and amnesiac, but otherwise ordinary schoolgirl. Saya's happy life is shattered when she is attacked by a chiropteran, and learns that she is the only one who can defeat them. Chiroptera is the name of the order of biological classification that bats are in (this is the most likely reason for the vampiric creatures being called "Chiropterans").

Armed with her katana, Saya embarks on a journey with her family, allies, and her chevalier, Hagi, to rid the world of chiropteran and rediscover her identity. The course of the journey reveals the background history of the chiropterans and Saya's very deep past, which extends into the mid-19th century.


9/10 on the Dangermouse Scale and i've got good taste.

I could care less for the anime.

Only reason why I pay the slightest attention to it is because Diva is an opera singer, and her singer is a gooorrrgeeouuuss soprano, and I'm learning the song for fun!

Otherwise, Diva is weird. Saiya turns weird. Hagi scares me. I get irritated at Kai. everyone else I don't know or don't care for. The theme? Tw vampire-like twin sisters centuries old....dosen't really interest me.

But the common denominator is you all like the anime.
