Well i am having this argument with my cousin. Also i am puting it in microsoft General becasue this is a bout Halo as well. Well in your own view which do you think require more skills to play Halo3 or World of warcraft lvl 70 Areana. For me personally i think that Areana require more skills then halo because Areana are just plain hard you have to know your class and know the other weekenness. With halo 3 you just kill people with different weapon and just have fun with your opponent.

Halo requires skill to a level but thinking analytically and strategically is alot harder. With so many factors contributing to your gameplay it does quite alot of skill. Halo is mindless killing but it can be strategic sometimes but not as much as WoW.
roclee4life
Halo is very strategic,u need to consider weapon spawn times, area control ,Formations ,good spots for sniping and the plain skill to get good shots I think they are equally hard in different ways

The thing with arena is it's ridiculously easy to play the character, a million times easier than Halo, but it is much more strategic. Also Halo is probably the easiest shooter to play as well compared to say CoD4 so i dunno.
haxxiy
I haven't played both so I can't really say tongue.gif

Now you see the difference between a person who plays against pro people and a person who dies alot tongue.gif Halo3 once you get high enough, you need to have... a lot of skill. First like roclee said, your going to have to memorize the spwn time for everything on each map or the enemy will get their first and use it against you (aka rockets/sniper) and then you have to be able to do 4 shot a person or headshot everything (which is harder than you think) You also have to remember how grenades bounce or when is the perfect time to use a grenade.

You will also have to think where your enemy is going to be able to juke them/ambush them. I find that CoD4 is actually quite easier than Halo 3 and I love both of them ^^

WoW requires more skill then Halo, where I can just jump around and own other people with a pistol, LOL! I did that once in KING mode in PC. It was so hilarious. That's all for me.

Matt you can't even aim with most guns. It's mostly just hipfire and comes down to who has the best connection. Getting pwned by noobs just firing everywhere because my latency is so damn bad to the american hosts was frustrating. Granted I didn't play at higher levels because the general skill in halo (WAY to many shots to die, no aiming etc) made me mad. I really only played system link with my friends. So I'm no expert but you know what I mean right ^^

CoD4 you die in a few shots, you need to aim, you have to keep looking at the mini map, be wary of UAV's etc etc. If you go to serious gamer sites the general consensus is that Halo3 doesn't require as much skill but the superhuman powers, out of world weapons and stuff can make it fun. Halo 3 might be more strategic (memorizing all that stuff) but the skill to actually play it is not as high. At least not IMO ^^

i asume wow would be easier because halo is really easy if you ask me i reckon wow is really well lets just say you have to think more in halo its more just random shooting and having a laugh and wow is more serious and you have to think way more well thats just my opinion i havnt played wow that much but know wht its like so yea

Woah woah... No aiming? Thats insane to even say xD In call of duty, I always go +20 something and even then that is a mixture of aiming and just blind firing. I will kill 3 people in 2.2 seconds, get my recon kill 4 more people and boom dogs/helicopter, then just watch the kills rise. Die and do it all over again =D

If your a noob and try to fight pros on call of duty, you can still get at least 5 kills and this is from my 6 year old cousin who can't even aim properly, he just sprays and prays. I've seen people go 0-20 on halo (like my 6 year old cousin)... now which still takes more skill? And Call Of Duty has no ranking system so your always party up with noobs and so you can always have an easy game... Halo, you play with people the same skill as you so it's always a challenge...

Though if I have to say anything:

Skill wise
-----------
1) Halo
2) Call Of Duty
1,90809183,134-1349134801) Gears Of War
Jing the bandit king
as I've heard, learned and experienced with world of warcraft it all depends on your class, if you have a class that requires strategy and/or timing then it is much more difficult than halo3, for example a retribution paladin wouldn't really take much effort, where as a mage might in most cases. I've checked it out using some of my brother's characters. neat game, but not something I could continuously enjoy as he does.
Strife Idz
COD4 and Dynasty warriors 6 are very strategic games that requires attention and coordination.

If you can kill 3 people alone in 2 seconds I want to know your secret. Unless they have their back to you and you throw a flash bang I don't see how that's possible. And that situation hardly occurs every game. If not than they must be really retarded because they only need to hit you about 3 times all together >.>

Then you get your helicopter, but that's just part of the game. Of course you are going to get higher kills. Getting a high kill count doesn't mean the game requires less skill than Halo. If you are in a game where you can get multiple helicopters then the people you are playing against are pretty terrible or you are amazing. It's rare that I get in a game and see someone with over 30 kills, which is around the number of 2 helicopters. I usually get around 20 kills, way more if I'm lucky enough to play with an Australian host (MY GOD IT IS FRUSTRATING PLAYING WITH 2 BARS OF LATENCY I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN IT >.<)

Also yeah you will get a few kills even if you are a noob, but you should die way more. I've seen new players die 25+ times haha, and it's not a rare occurrence. Since you die so easy in this game whereas in Halo you have that PoS shield.

Yes having no rank system is a flaw with it. But you can be pretty sure that there will be at least 2 other people at your skill level in the game.

I don't know what you mean by those numbers. But yes I agree about the gears part. OMG THAT GAME IS STUPID. 10+ shots to kill someone with an assault but you can be one shot with a shutgun? Shutgun and sniper needs a nerf imo, or the assault needs a major buff. At least that game has horde though.

My secret? Become a god at hip-firing for quick responsive kills =D I always get 20-30 kills and my death ratio is a 3.1... idk maybe your right but after playing nothing but halo 3 for a year and went to call of duty, I found that... it's quite easy to be honest...

Actually I take back what I said about gears because I'm becoming better at it now tongue.gif
