That's one benefit, but I prefer DS. Compatable with the Wii, has more entertainment that the PSP (for me at least), and it's cheaper.

May 19 2008, 12:22 AM

I have a psp and ds. I definately use my psp more often. It has all my music, pictures, videos and games on it. And I can play my ps3 with it. But the whole fact the DS has the touch screen makes it AWESOME! I like to actually play the little kiddie games just because its a touch screen.
But PSP is still better and if they made it a touch screen they would put Nintendo out of business. But I guess its ok seeing as how the Wii is better then the PS3.

Not so ******* sure now

May 19 2008, 11:25 AM
I own a DS, and its alright. No movies, or mp3s, but with an R4, a DS Is just as good as PSP.
Angelic Requiem
May 19 2008, 11:32 AM
I don't really care if it has an mp3 player or any of that other crap, as if we don't already have enough inventions that do that anyways, the DS can also play my GBA games as well, now all it needs to do is be able to play old Game Boy games and it'll be perfect.
OOOO, and before I forget, there's no way a DS can get a virus, while a PSP can get a virus way easier than a DS.

May 19 2008, 11:40 AM
yeah, and ds is not brick-able. No risking of breaking it. The lite looks cooler than psp as well.

May 19 2008, 01:12 PM
i chose the ds since it can play gameboy games still and the ds is really fun to play and it seems like that is what nintendo is aiming for while sony and microsoft want to get more serious games the psp just has internet and cheap versions of games that are already out on the ps2 or 3 while the ds has its own games while there are some games that let you connect to the wii similar to pokemon stadium and the gb

May 19 2008, 10:57 PM
wow but i'd rather have a ds with more games which is what i think a handheld is supposed to be for
Jatohn-san
May 19 2008, 11:13 PM
I didn't just buy a hand held for games. I bought it so it could entertain me. While the DS has its fair share of games, sometimes I feel like having a GOOD plot behind what I'm doing. I'm not some ten year old who's attention can be held with pretty colors for hours on end. The PSP gives me variety. Music, movies, pictures, games AND interenet. Which I may add all are in HD. And PSP are not that hard to break, trust me, I drop mine a lot. But then again the DS is targeted towards a younger crowd (i.e. junior high student). While the psp is targeted towards a more mature, on the move crowd (i.e. college student). The only downside about the PSP is that you have to know a thing or two about computers in order to use it to its fullest. So the PSP is definately not for people who pull out "Interenet for Dummies" or "Computer for Dummies" with the bright yellow and black cover.
So what am I trying to say? If you are young, immature, computer inapt, or you have the attention span of a puppy, then the DS is PERFECT for you and I can see why you like it. Oh! and dont forget all the PrEtTy colors it comes in!

so do u like the ds better?
Great Days
May 20 2008, 05:17 AM
Personally, i'm a Sony fan boy. So I'm going to say PSP. Nintendo have been making handhelds for what? over 10 years, nothing has really changed all that much, I know it's strictly a gaming company, but a few extra features would be nice.
Sony has been making handhelds much less than Nintendo have, and already it's features blow the DS system away. Also the PSP has an emulator so you can play DS games on the PSP.
Just an opinion.

Angelic Requiem

depends, if your an idiot, and you just want to put in a game and go then the ds is for you
if you know what your doing with pandora battery and custom firmware then psp is pretty much unparallelled, since you can play pretty much anything up to n64 games on it

Hate to be a bummer but the tilt technology was used on hand held before on the GB with kirbys tilt and tumble
All in all the psp is like in all purpose portable gaming system it plays movies " i watch anime on it when im on the go"
And it play music so if your a cheap skate you can i have music player at the same time with out having to by a zune or ipod
Lets se the ds do that know wait it cant lol.
I have both systems and can gladly say i use my psp more than my ds lite
A.C.E.
Aug 11 2008, 08:04 PM

Other than that the ds is just a breeding ground for 3rd party games and cartoon games that are a piece of crap

im going with psp, i'm not a sony fan boy or anything but i prefer the psp overall because once you soft mod or hard mod the psp you can pretty much play downloaded psp,ps1, n64 roms, gba, and a few other old systems. but ill have to give some thumbs up for the ds, they got some nice pokemon games that you can play online world wide
