Like Linkin Park, they kind of changed there style (but not drastically...) but it is still good =3 =3

Hmmm a popular song by them is 'Until The Day I Die'. Hmm what to put them under.....there kind of like old linkin park with there lyrics...(there newer stuff sounds kind of punkish) hmmmm can't really describe it xD Listen to Until The Day I Die....Anthem Of Our Dying Day...for a better feel of them xD

Though if you pay attention to there lyrics, there spectacular and very deep....they always got a message to say...

I've just got some songs from their latest album just to taste it...
"Welcome to our new war" is pure hardcore punk lol
so if their now have a softer song, I can only imagine they were metalcore before it
perhaps you wanted to mean the oposite or it was only the last song that is harsh? X_X

Hahaha oops I meant last not latest xD there second album (which I think zodiac is talking about...) was a big disappointment to some. Most of the responses was because it was way to soft from there last album.

Their First album is called: Page Avenue and is the holder most of ZA's favorites by them xD

Their Second album is called: In The Wake Of Determination and is considered the least favorite by the fans and a big dissapointment

Their latest is Black Swan and IMO is on par with there first or maybe better.....

I have In The Wake Of Determination and Page Avenue. The Wake of Determination is pretty much pure emo. Page Avenue is screamo which I don't hate. I actually like it when the musicians are talented. The sad fact is most emo/sreamo bands are pretty damn terrible in terms of skill. Mostly just boring power chords and a basic riff, since its more about the singer and Lyrics. Story of the Years' guitarist isn't great. They focus on singing and lyrics which I guess they have in spades. But I'm more interested in the guitar when I listen to stuff.

Sceamo bands I like are Escape the Fate, Silverstein, Bullet for my Valentine, From Autumn to Ashes and Underoath. I know my **** about anything thats got a guitar in it

They are on a borderline between screamo and metalcore like Atreyu. All the things I hate and Tears don't fall are definitely screamo. Hit the Floor is metalcore etc etc.

Yeah, it may be. But one band surely isnt metalcore is killswitch engage. They are more common harcore than anything. And shadows fall also.

No Killswitch engage is classic metalcore. Hardcore is stuff like Comeback Kid and Black Flag. Check those two bands out there is a huge difference between Killswitch Engage and Comeback Kid. Pure hardcore doesn't have screaming in it. Or if it does it has very little. The only band with mostly screaming in it that I have heard that I would classify as hardcore is carpathian. And even that i'd say is mostly metalcore. Hardcore Its basically punk but with breakdowns and Harsher edge and themes. Metalcore is metal stuff which is screaming, complex riffs and solo's mixed with hardcore which is breakdowns and stuff. Hence the Metal(Hard)core.

Yeah it may be. Perhaps I thought like that because what I listen most of metalcore is stuff like Black Dahlia Murders, Sonic Syndicate, Trivium, Divine Heresy, I Killed the Prom Queen etc. etc. aka things influenced by thrash and melodeath. And... ha! I was listening to Bullet for my Valentine and they are surely screamo
