So my Question to you all is which operating system would you choose, I'm a big fan of Vista because it's the newest operating system by windows, on the other hand I hate XP it's some old bull crap operating system that has many flaws and not many good features, so my choice would have to be Windows Vista, if your planning to get Vista don't get home basic it sucks get something like Windows Vista Home Premium or even better windows Vista Ultimate thats the best choice, anyways forget XP is freaking old but that's just my opinion so which do you guys prefer?

Hmmmm At first didn't like Vista cause I thought that Microsoft moved from the simplicity they were famous for in their programs. But after awhile I started to love my vista more than my Xp for many reasons. One is that even though it double checks you for everything you do (like downloads and installing or moving to a site) it allows you to rethink what your downloading. Also the skins for the interface is just amazing =3 much much better than Xp and even easier to create on your own. It also has a faster rate to check many programs at once without it opening and easier to find programs if you have it organized neatly. So I like Vista more than XP =3

linux unfortunatly mac is very awkward for me being a pc upbringing (meaning windows) but im a techy by trade and i just cant accept vista it requires the updates constantly or it'l start locking off ur computers hardware and its far 2 graphicsy for a upgrade. but thats just my (and most of the tecky community lol) oppinion

I WOULD like vista more if it didn't have so many bugs and maybe if the price went down about 100 bucks. But it won't matter in about a few months anyway because i'm getting a laptop for college and its gonna have vista. But for right now I'll stick with xp. I'm familiar with it and i dont have to add a new patch to it everyday so it works right.

I have to say Vista. But if you don't have at least an average PC so you should get XP because Vista would really slow a lot your computer.

Vista has quite a few compatibility issues, and it really does eat up your memory.

But it can be pretty cool at the same time. =/ After getting used to Vista, it's a lot better than what I first thought, I guess.

To be honest, I don't think one's really "better" than the other. They're quite different. Though I guess I'm more used to XP.

i think its better to compare two products from different companies, although its harder that way (like linux vs windows vs mac)

vista has 32bit and 64bit version, same as XP 32bit and 64bit versions. 64bit XP would still be beaten in terms of popularity by vista 32bit, but in terms of security, ofcourse 64bit is always more secure.

vista is an upgrade to XP, so technically and artistically, it would be better than XP.

and to answer your question, i would prefer vista, although im using XP, simply because its the current product that promises better security and upgrades.

I would say WinXP not because it is the best but it has the least problems in the Windows community and
I know pretty much how to fix everything that could go wrong on it.

Vista on the other hand just tries to look better than a Mac and ends up wasting alot of processing power.
Give it a few more years before you upgrade from xp.

If you have Vista, Just downgrade if you wanna put that Machine to some good use.
Your computer will love you back for it.

i would say XP more since its more popular and its been around whereas vista, its just barely made and its still doing upgrades and such.

I'm still on XP and dont regret it at all. I dont plan on upgrading anytime soon. While vista is cosmetically more attractive, i still prefer XP's reliability as well as its low min. spec requirements.

Vista cuz my laptop has it and I never been on a computer with XP.

im downgrading my vista to xp. xp in my opinion is much better

vista is teh ****, you need a monster of a computer to run it smoothly, so when they fix all the problems i'll get it, but im happy with my xp
