Kakashi is my luvr
Has anime or manga influenced ur life in some way? It did for me. Ok. So one of my guy friends asks me out. Now this guy and me r anime and manga freaks. We love to talk about it. He was one of my best guy friends. This was a HUGE SHOCKER for m, so I started avoiding him. I avoided him for a LONG time, and we stopped talking. Then one night, we were both watching the same anime, and we started talking about it. We kept doing that on diffrent nights about diffrent anime. Eventually, we became friends again, all thanx to anime. It's still kinda awkward, but we talk about anime in school, so it's not completly awkward. If we hadn't been watching the same anime, things would still be all awkward between us. Has anime or manga helped u?

Cloudmaster88
Nope anime has never influenced my life, I keep both things separate, anime is for entertainment not to be fantasizing about it like some crazy MOFO, nah I like anime but I wouldn't go as far as placing it in my life and cosplaying and crap..no way!!!
ash_kun
Manga/Anime eats up a lot of my Saturday and other free time... which is good thing because it's entertaining. So it's a positive influence...

I guess you could also say it's brought me a little bit closer to some of my new friends at University (I'm first year).

That's about it. Ta da! happy.gif
van22
of course no it's just as cloudmaster said IT'S FOR entertainment THAT'S ALL
PiperPotter
Manga/Anime did influence my life a lot, i have becaome a freak also~ i spend so much time in it sometimes

but look at the bright side anime has got me many new friends and anime/manga is 1 of the topic we can talk about and it goes on and on when we give our views and stuff~

i love anime/manga
mizutama
it didn't influence my life much...

though it can influence over my mood ^^
Zodiac Angel
Only because it fills my free time and keeps me from boring XD
Kakashi is my luvr
Wow. I heart anime too! But I think it's more than just entertainment. I've learned some important life lessons from it. Plus, I have made new friends with it. And yes, it does take up most of my saturday night. I watch it on cartoon network and adult swim. R u guys SURE that it hasn't influenced u? Cloudmaster? Van22?
Jatohn-san
Yes any does definatly influence my life. Sometimes more than I would want it to. Like i'll start copying somebody and say I have sharigan and if they dont watch anime they'll be like "What?" And I'll be like "I didnt say anything."

Or sometimes I'll run with my hands behind my back. When nobody is watching of course.... >_>

But I think the biggest influence its had on my life is that I want to minor in Japanese in college. Plus it goes perfect with my major. happy.gif
zeriah
Well it has definitely influenced what me and some of my friends who like anime talk about. The latest Naruto Manga chapter is often a large talk topic for a few days. So I guess you could say it has...
Sasuke_Chan
I love anime...but I wouldn't say it influenced me..that would be Dei_Dei..lol
XD
Kakashi is my luvr
Yea. Sometimes i run with my hands behind my back too Jatohn-san. blush.gif I like the feeling. In my science and history class, most of my conversation involves anime or manga of some sort. It's not a popular thing at my school, but the people who do like it are in my classes. bash.gif
Dei_Dei
Ha ha ha..very funny Sasuke_Chan...I do love anime!
Yes I talk about it every day in class, thanks to it being popular with most of my friends it makes the classes go by faster and my day is complete...lol
SandNinja14
Well, it's gotten me to call my brother "baka" LOL... Seriously, though, it does take up free time, and I enjoy watching it. I've learned to love my friends (LOL Too much Yu-Gi-Oh!) and I've learned some cool dodging and fighting moves. tongue.gif Some manga/anime have taught me to take life more seriously (Death Note, Spiral) But I'm still an optimistic, smart-alecky, pain in the rear biggrin.gif
haxxiy
ummmm... perhaps... my answer would be a mix of those of zeriah and zodiac angel.
ui890
okayhere's the verdict:

from what i've read, there are just plain anime freaks out there bursting to tell their 'i love anime!' story

and then there's the 'anime is for entertainment and to fill up my spare time group'

aww.shucks! If anime is just for entertainment, you guys won't exactly end up over here posting, would ya?

unless you're like me, who likes to post around but no longer takes interest about anime much. But when i was in the anime mood, boy did anime change my life. I'm glued to the computer/tv to watch anime, lacking sleep because of watching anime, and frequently check for new .torrent files to download anime with, yada yada yada.

biggrin.gif

-i dont understand whatever crap i just typed. forgive me.
archie the 2nd
lol ui ur messed up sumtime u know that happy.gif ({)

i got back into anime when i hit uni (had liked it when i was a kid (pokemon ygiho dragonball Z etc) but never really got 2 watch it much was just like cartoons 4 me then uni and i love the more serious look that it took along with the awsome art ive watched a hell a lot since (mainly frm my mates mamoth storage archive (has like nearly a TB on dvd's) mainly in a free time way tho (uni + disstration = fail btw) i watch less now but i keep up with the on going 1s and read manga and ff when ever i get the chance. me nd my mate (one with big collection) even mess around in public taking turns to pretend to be gai and kakashi (one stands reading a lil orange book being 'cool' while the other runs about being gai like lol

all in all no i dont think its really influenced my life i waslike this befor its just now i have things from anime to make jokes with and pass the time etc
villageknucklehead
anime influenced my life tremendously. since i began watching anime, i have written anime based books, created an anime show(not for public view, yet and isn't 1 of those corny videos). it has also influenced me to create anime shows when i grow up (since i'm great with storylines, finding voices for the shows, and a great drawer).
dissapointednaruto
well...
It's taken up a looooot of hours that is for sure....

entertaining!!!
Jatohn-san
Anime doesnt really take up ALOT of my time. anymore. Seeing as how they only come out with half an hour episodes once a week. It use to about a year ago when I got excited about watching it and wanted to catch up and watched it for hours online.
zangetska
Yep it influenced it alot so much that im learning japanese and plan to either go 2 japan 2 make games about anime or become a animator or manga artsist and make them i would be a totally different person without it. I make fanfics to becuz of it
Jatohn-san
You have made some fan fics? Do you mind posting them?
zangetska

Jatohn-san
o_o REALLY? Sounds cool! You can post the link in the Fan Fic section of the forum. I would love to read them and I'm pretty sure others would too! Plus I havent ran into any guys who write fan fics yet, so it would be pretty cool to see how you write. happy.gif

zangetska
awesome ARigato
Angelic Requiem
Anime does influence my life more than people know. Yeah, anime is typically supposed to be only for entertainment, but actually anime was what got me to want to become a video game developer (thank you Pokemon), which is plan A of my life. Not to mention that plan B is to be a swordfighting teacher, which I began liking to swordfight ever since Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho.
A.C.E.
heck yeah anime influences my life why else would i be lazy run across rooftops and try to act like a ninja if it weren't for anime and manga
zangetska

Angelic Requiem

A.C.E.

VioAdmin
Anime has influenced my life in many many ways. It's like reading a book, you pick up some new things, same thing with some of the anime's I have watched.

Like, the most anime I learned from still to this day...Rurouni Kenshin(see it if you haven't). I have learned from the main character himself on how to handle tough times and how to control your emotions in those situations, stuff like that. It has really helped me lol, trust me on that!

Lol, I did learn some good things from Love Hina(classic romance anime)- I watched that when I was young and I think it improved my "life" with the ladies >_> or so I think...hmm
hollow_kyubi
yep, it influenced me alot... i used to watch slam dunk bc i used to play basketball... now, i watch captain tsubasa bc i play football... i watch naruto and other animes related to fighting bc i like hitting my sister and doing the 8 trigrams 64 palms whenever i'm in a random state... >.<
wwitching
Anime got me thinking that there is still hope and one can still dream at whatever age, ie. to make one's dream come true no matter what the obstacle is. Anime taught me that the human spirit is ever strong and never let go of life and opportunities so easily.
Fenris_Wolf
Elfen Lied changed the way i looked at human nature from another perspective and time as well.
4u2nv
It has definitely affected my life! If i invest all those hours watching into studying... just think of the possibilities!!
meira-anime
rofl.. XP well... sadly.. my life revolves around anime.. i see everything as though through an anime.. XP lol.. but is's true.. =c
Zn619
No..well..kinda. At my school there's this crazy kid who dresses up like
the characters in different anime...-facepalm-

It might have..dunno.
Faunton
Well, I think Anime made me let out all of my creativity. I never get to draw until I watch Akazukin Cha Cha. Hahaha. I also get to learn many things from anime and manga..
Byakuran
I think it has.

It lead me to my great friends and not dying of being bored.
Faunton
^Exactly. I made new friends because I know anime and read manga.
Jing the bandit king
I guess, it hasn't changed my personality really, if anything just a few habits here and there, as well as which friends I make. but that's really about it wink.gif oh yes, and well it's obvious it has influenced me to join a few forums here and there.
Strife Idz
Its has in the past but now im more influenced by the tuner world. Yes I'm a tuner. Check out my Integra Type R gif. 8)
