i know most people will pick ff7 i know its a good game loaded with awesome songs, but final fantasy 5 has to do it for me.

I liked Final Fantasy 1, it's old school (and was my first final fantasy) and i still have to play ff8, and i like ff7 and ff12 ... But i have to go with ff7, just because of the story, it was really well done.

Sad that FFVII is winning. Compared to FFXII there is nothing to compare actually FFXII just is ten times better.

yeah, ffxii wasnt bad...but too many things to do...and i dont like the battle system and how the summons are under powered...

I might have to change my thoughts on which is my favorite. Some of the elite mark in FFXII are really REALLY exciting. Beats the **** out of many of the other fights. Some are really really hardcore gamer like. Theres this guy with i think 50 million HP.
I love that it has no random encounters too but i don't like the battle system that much. Unfortunately the story for me wasn't as good which is why i didn't list it as one of my favorites. But after doing some of those later elite marks...wow

yeah...the 50 million hp one is yiazmat...hes hard..took me 8 hours to beat...

old topic i know but i have to say i love tactics. Seriously the original tactics for the playstation was just flawless in my opinion (when it comes to tactic games) and created quite a few basis's for later tactic games. Though i think that tactics, ff7 and ff10 are between my favorites, because all final fantasy's have an amazing storyline but these three you just can fall in love with the story over and over again and the battle system was very nice. 12 didn't quite work for me bc of the storyline, wasn't a big fan of it. Though im hoping ff13 will be really amazing (even though the battle system is going to be cinematic like)

I never got a chance to play tactics...so i dont have much say...

SCREW 12 it was ******* gay and I hope they never make another one like that. There were no twists in the story just the same ******* thing every time there was a cut scene. "oh lets go kill the ruler* Blah blah blah *falls asleep*

It took me over a year to finish it because it was so borning, and even the ending was gay.

I have played Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X and they all are damn good so cant decide

lol i have played all the final fantasy's and by far FFVII is my favorite. It was the first i played and by far has the best storyline out of them all. Also it has so many things to do besides the main quest that you end up playing several hours into it. You will also fall in love with the story so you will try to beat it over and over again. I wasn't a big fan of 8 =/ and 12. I didn't like the summons system in 8 and 12 yeah don't get me started

FFVII is a popular choice because of its story, characters and replay value...I must admit ive replayed it at least twenty five times...

Final Fantasy 12 is really good. FFX is my second preference.

FFXII wasnt bad...too long though and way too many sidequests...

ff12 O.o you actually liked that game O.o it wasn't challenging at all to me until i got to the big elite marks. And yeah the longer the better if you have a great story line.FF12....their was no plot twist what so ever, just straight through....i got bored ot the story with that one.......idk maybe im just being a hater

Yeh it didn't have much depth to the story. But the side quests aka the marks are really really impressive. Easily the best in side quests out of the series in my opinion.

Yiazmat was not fun...it was torture...anyone that says different has no life...

Final Fantasy VII, the characters, the story and the battle system rocked. Great thing about it that it's still alive with all the prequels and sequels. After that game, FFVIII was my second favorite. I played them all but these are my favorites with FFXII being the worse for me.

1st time I defeated both Yiazmat and Omega (FFXII) - lv 77 all main characters.
FFXII bosses usually suck (theyre purposeless too dificult) but I only say that now because I defeated them all. Now I can protest in peace without someone come and say I only told this because I was too weak and noob to defeat them. XD
Now getting back to Elder Scrolls IV, much things yet to do and Im so lazy.

FF7 would be my fav.. mainly because it was the first RPG i had ever played and kinda stuck with me... i don't mind 4, 6, 9, 10 and 12 but i found them all lacking a bit.... oh well
