They've been liscencing certain shows and are now no longer viewable!

For example - One Piece is no longer available to be downloaded by anyone or viewed by anyone online!

I'm not the biggest fan of dubbing. I'll watch it if it's done right, but :gun:Funimation jerks hire monotone deadbeats to do some of the show voiceovers! E'fin cheapskates and now they want people to start buying their crappy DVD's with extra and sometimes unnecessary dubbings!

Now I read in another forum where someone was saying that dubbing things would be a good way for Japanese people to learn english, well that makes a lot of sense... NOT!!! Anyone who only speaks english and has been watching a subtitled Japanese show for months now still can't freakin speak Japanese! I myself have been following shows like Naruto, One Piece, Basilisk, Project D for months now (almost a year) and I can only remember and notice a couple of words. It doesn't work that way...

It may be true that they introduced great animes to north america but, i'm sure that it would have eventually reach our shores by some other means... who knows those guys would have done a better job...

me, im not a fan of dub either, the voices always get screwed up...but bleach dub is pretty good..

Yes unfortunatel one piece is no longer available online except for older episodes and unless you're interested in watching the spanish dubbed ones...

And I agree, some of the high pitched voices can get straining to the system... but i think the worst at that would be the japanese voice actor of goku from dbz... somebody prolly have his nuts in a vice while they do the taping... or maybe he was a japanese choir boy (if they exist)... but i bet he'll make good michael jackson imitations! Lol

Well you can watch some of the new ones, but you can't watch them in order anymore... there are so many episodes that are no loner online... the newer ones can only be viewed on TV, (maybe in 2130, because it will never happen unless you're subscribed to a expensive cable tv provider with the anime channel on it)... or if you buy them in dvd's if they come out too... your best bed is to blow up the owner of Funimation and post his retarded corpse on Youtube for everyone to enjoy... i'd rather watch that rather than his pathetic dubs... i ain't paying him crap for the whack-off job that his company does to anime in america... what they're doing is show the rest of the world that north america is close minded to other culture, especially the language... the states is already in heat because of language issues and here goes an anime tycoon who wants to monopolize it... damn him and his bloody company to the ground!!! i hate them all!!!

Wow, rant. Dubs suck, dont watch them. Japanese people somehow make good cartoons that can entertain an older audience. Market this across the world in anyway possible is what the businessmen say. The anime marketing scheme is huge nowadays and is continuing to rise. Culture shock.... (Japan----America different culture)

This is where unnecessary edits come in to play. Censorship is the secondary problem. With the clash of the appropriate norms between cultures, censorship becomes controversial. What to censor and what not to censor in different societies is not the same. Put the legal and technical crap of said country in a blender and you get the rendition of another country's animation.

This is where fansubbing sounds like a walk in the park
