Did anyone else notice that the Naruto names are mostly real things? For instance:

Akamaru- Aka = red, maru = circle
Aoi (filler guy) = blue
Haku = doctor
Sakura = i think its a flower
kakashi = scarecrow
Neji = spiral
Kiba = fang
Kabuto - headpeice
Shikamaru = Shika - historian
Rin - cold, companion
Tenten = here and there
Uzumaki = Whirlpool

and there is a few more.

Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I did ^^
& Sakura is flower, yeah, it's from a tree. Her full name is Haruno Sakura, & if you split it in three, Haru no Sakura, it's Flower of Spring/Spring Flower.
Same goes for UmiNO Iruka, Sea Dolphin.

& Naruto means.. steamed fish-paste cake. -.-

btw, isn't Shika deer? Like.. Shika-Ino-Chou trio *Deer-Pig-Butterfly*

yea, shika means deer, but it also means historian. I thought historian fit his character better since he is that really smart guy but he wants the "plain life". I never thought of Deer-Pig-Butterfly thing.

I just watched the end of the chuunin exams, where Ino, Shikamaru & Chouji's fathers appeared.. They say something about an Ino-Shika-Chou trio thing

Heh, maybe it's a really good reason that Shikamaru's called what he's called then

Noticed that on some peoples names but no everybodys

reminds me of DBZ, when almost everyone was named after food
