This is my whine post.

I don't make enough imo, and frankly I think this is most definetly due one.

This is a big " **** YOU " to all the people that have recommended me Mai Hime.

Simply the most plotless and retarded anime I feel I have ever watched. The characters are designed so ridiculously idiotic that it's not even funny - Infact all designs in this anime have been idiotic beyond belief.

I was finding it particularly enjoyable to watch each of the characters slowly die off, only to find that they were all ******* alive by the end.

The plot made absolutely no sense whatsoever, and half the time I thought I was watching an extremely idiotic hentai series with insane censoring - The plot was that thoughtless.

I move on to the Child designs. I'm beyond words on how idiotic the designs were - So I won't bother writing.

And the dubbings were plain terrible - Mai's younger brother had the eldest sounding voice of the lot, while Mitoko had simply the worst design of any character I've ever seen, and I spent most of the anime wanting to find someone cosplaying as her just to punch them in the face.

Seeing as the anime was made in 2004 - The art should have been _ALOT_ better, while the music was all terrible j-pop that you can clearly see was made for the anime.

Possibly the biggest dissapointment I've ever had watching anime.

I dont think it was as bad as you say it is. The plot is a lot of pointless character development in the beginning, but when it got going, it was good. The ending did suck though, it was just too stupid how everything ended like one of my mom's movies on the Hallmark channel.

It was a typical "the world is coming to an end and you are the chosen one" type anime, but it had a slight edge above the others. The sacrifices that the HiMEs had to make was kind of new, and it was definitely believable how they made the girls fight each other even though they originally didnt want to. The ending destroyed all of this though, so I can see where your coming from NPG.

The plot definitely made sense, I thought you were smarter than that....

If you didnt like Mai Hime, totally ignore Otome. If you want to say complete waste of time, watch that piece of ****. I enjoyed Mai Hime though, but its definitely not a classic like some people try and make it out to be. If the rest of it was like the last 10 or so episodes (excluding the ending), it would have been really good.

What is there to this anime?

Character Development? Are you having a laugh?

Are you telling me that the relationship between the goofball and Mai is any more developed at the end than it is at episode 10?

Other than Mai, I could care less for any of the other characters. She was a good character with a good personality (the bossy girl lead has been done to death, so has the sweet innocent girl). I liked the battle parts mostly, where someone would be killed and the person close to them would die. It was a little heartfelt I guess.

To be honest with you, if this is the worst anime you've ever seen, then this may just happen to be one of the first average anime you have ever seen.

I dont know, I just didnt think it was a waste of my time. Compared to my favorite anime, this is trash, but I dont have such high expectations for action anime anymore.

It's not the worst I've ever seen - But it's been recommended so many times that it was a HUGE dissapointment.

Needless to say all the Childs made me think I was watching Digimon.

I agree with you, this series honestly didn't stand out in my mind and the only character I liked on it was Tate. None of the girls really grasped my attention. I basically watched since I couldn't find anything else better to watch. I did find the "childs" a little amusing though.

The ending was pretty lame I wouldn't have minded everyone who died to have stayed dead, though. At least that would have been bittersweet.

As far as plot goes it wasn't all that entrancing, I mean it wasn't that bad but as stated before the ending kinda killed that mood that it had set. I'd only recommend it if you have absolutely nothing else to watch and you're just looking for something to fill up your time with.

If you had literally nothing better to watch I'd recommend Mai Otome, alot better in every way, while still being pretty terrible.

But +1 on everything you said - An awful anime imo.
