gaara died after shukaku was extracted... he was only revived by Chiyo using tetei or tekai sumthin jutsu(life transferring jutsu), then chiyo died...

so...they cant keep gaara killed forever...theyre gonna bring him back...sooner or later

Jiraiya is the best. He's actually the only real character in the naruto universe. Everyone else is just a kage bunshin of his thats transformed.

For now I think that Jiraiya is stronger, but Sasuke is close enough. I don't really know if he can defeat Jiraiya at his current level

NO!!!!!!! sasuke isn't even freaking close, i hate it when people say he's so strong. he is strong but he would totally get killed by jiraiya, itachi, and a lot of other people.

I chose Sasuke because well can't really argue that the sannins are necesarilly better than Sasuke since Sasuke beat Oro and he was a sannin. So obviously Sasuke is Sannin level already. And he would supposed to grow stronger than Itachi since he's one of the main characters and that's he's purpose in the story anyway. Jiraiya is very strong but we wouldn't really know how close Sasuke's abilities compared to him until we see them face each other.

i think its kimimaro even tho hes not my favorite character(my 6th fave actually) i still hav to say he is the strongest of all but its too bad he died becuz he had that disease cuz hes the ONLY person who survived gaaras techniques (like the desert funeral thing noone whos gotten that on them except kimimaro has survived and lee but lee only had it on his arm and leg so that dont count)so if he didnt die from that hed hav killed gaara and lee and he is the strongest

This is a joke. Everyone on that list, aside from Itachi, can't even COMPARE to Jiraiya or Tsunade (note, as you guys said, this is pre-Shippuuden). As far as the anime has gotten, Jiraiya or Tsunade would still roll all of those people.

Also, Ms. Uchiha, as hollow_kyubi stated, Orochimaru was in a terrible state to begin with. It would have been pathetic if Sasuke couldn't defeat him in the state that he was in. *SPOILER* If you include the manga, Naruto would be stronger than Sasuke. It was stated by Jiraiya that he was nearly killed by Naruto. The thing is is that this was when Naruto was in the four-tails state.

dude gaarra would have kicked deidra's a**, he only lost b/c he saved his village from that huge a** birdy- bomb thingy. before that deidra couldn't even touch him. And saskue is not the best he got powned by the sound 5. how can people even think he was that good before suppiden [ granted after the two years he's probably the best ninja short of akatsuki leader, itachi]. and naruto's a shitty ninja, the only reason he's even an decent ninja is because of two things: the fox demon [without him naruto would have lost to almost everyone b/c he got really lucky when fighting kiba that he was so scared he farted and stunned kiba. second the shadow clone jutsu, he if didn't have that techinque [ which he stole i might add, wait a minute how the hell was he able to-steal the scroll, he was the was the worst ninja in the academy???!!!! WTF] he would have no jutsus what so ever, except maybe rasengan, which he still wouldn't have been able to use without shadowclone!!! naruto won/fought all his important battles using the fox demon, e.g. vs neji and saskue [gaara doesn't really count b/c he always uses the raccoon]
