Whenever I stick my computer in sleep mode, it comes out after no more than two seconds. any ideas as to what's wrong?

try going to the control panel ad opening up the power options. there, make sure that you have hibernation enabled.

hibernation's enabled and there's enough hard drive space. any other ideas?

a few months ago, a picture (no frame) fell off my desk and slipped through a tiny crevice, landing inside the tower. i forgot about it until my brother just reminded me. could that be doing something? regardless, i'm gonna take the picture out this weekend, seems like a fire hazard.

There's a small chance that it might be the picture although I doubt it.
