One night when skies were filled with blue,
They looked so nice, but no one knew,
What wonders waited up above,
Outstanding views of grace and love,
I do not know why in that night,
No one looked up to see the sight,
It seemed as though only I saw,
The bright and beautifying awe,
So, as I gazed and looked up high,
Into the sweet night of the sky,
I bumped into a passer-by,
Who, in return, just said "Oh Fie!"
He was angered, he got annoyed,
That I did not try to avoid,
Making him fall into the dirt,
And ruining his favorite shirt,
I tried, indeed, to say sorry,
But he did nothing but curse me,
I thought a lot, and thought some more,
To open up, the wondrous door,
Of forgiveness from in his soul,
But of Ideas, I was not full,
At last, I thought, why not the sky?
It helps me not to say say oh fie,
And maybe it will help him too,
It might make him, feel like brand new,
I asked the angered passer-by,
To look up at the shiny sky,
Amazingly, he did just that,
He turned his reddened head right at,
The beauty of the sparkling light,
And when he saw that mighty sight,
His will to hate had gone a flight,
He turned to me, and this he said,
I will not hate, but love instead,
I forgive you, and I just may,
Remember and cherish this day,
With that he left, so full of joy,
As if he were a little boy,
And so I thanked the heavens high,
I thanked the Maker of the sky,
Who always made it look so new,
So beautiful, so filled with blue.
