Prologue: Setting the stage
[The rain was dribbling lightly on the sidewalks. Though it was light drizzle, the skies were dark
and haunting. The thunderbolt bristled through the seas of the clouds above in the night sky. A boy with
pastel purple hair was lying among the rubble on the ground, draped in blood. Hovering over him, Ichirin
stood over the bloodied boy, smoke emitting from his left hand, kunai stained with blood. He threw the knife
near the bloodied boy’s body, tears rolling down his face. Ichirin had killed his best friend, Shubekei Uchiha.
It was an accident; the two were best friends and rivals at the same time. While training, Ichirin wanted to
win so desperately that he unleashed his forbidden jutsu. He killed Shubekei in the process of it.
A month later, Ichirin felt stronger. He trained with his sensei from Team 12, Geesho Hattori, and activated
his Sharingan. However, his Sharingan felt stronger. He manipulated Geesho’s mind midway into their fight,
but, in the end, still lost to the jounin- ranked sensei. Meanwhile, Geesho was surprised at how quickly Ichirin
was improving. Things got even more mysterious when Ichirin was confronted by a group of S-ranked
crminal ninja called the ‘Akatsuki’. They wanted Ichirin to join their group for a certain sacrifice, revealing
that since he was an Uchiha and had obtained the Mangekyo Sharingan at such a young age, he was worthy.
Before they could kidnap Ichirin, Geesho Hattori stepped in. Neither he nor Ichirin knew what the Akatsuki
clan were up to. Now, 4 years later, Ichirin has honed his skills, and prepared for another encounter with the
Akatsuki. He also was a chunin, having mastered the requirements for becoming one; he looks on, trying to
find the truth as to why he was confronted by the Akatsuki...]
Ichirin opened his eyes, his Mangekyo Sharingan activated. He sense a feeble danger ready to
attack him. Seconds before it could strike, Ichirin got out of the way. Himura Hikigane came out from the
shadows that the tall tress cast on the mountain tops. A smirk covered his face.
”Hey, Ichirin- kun. You’re as sharp as ever,”
“What do you want?”
“I want to learn Sharingan!” Himura was the most oblivious idiot that Ichirin ever met. He thinks he’s Ichirin’s
protégé, and constantly wants to learn Sharingan. He doesn’t know that it is a kekkei genkai and can only be
learned by the Uchiha clan. Ichirin always wanted to have fun, teasing Himura that he would teach him
the ‘jutsu’ when he knew that he never could.
“Maybe some other time,” Ichrin started walking quickly. He remembered that he was late to a meeting that
Geesho wanted all of Team 12 to attend to. Hana Ujisato and Saitō Oda were camped next to Beesho
Hattori.
“Ah, Ichirin. You’re late. There’s something I have to tell you,” Geesho’s face became very stern all of a
sudden...

Sho Shitake was busy walking down a street after leaving the academy, planning to go home and
show off his headband to his father and sister. He would've made it home in a matter of minutes, but that
was before someone called after him. "Sho, wait up!"
Sho stopped and turned around, seeing Shuzuki Tariga running up to him. The two walked together down
the side street of the village, the sun slowly setting in a distant view. Shuzuki cleared her throat. "So where
are you heading?"
"Home I think, wanna meet up later?" Sho asked. Him and Shuzuki were friends.
"Sure, where?" Shuzuki asked Sho, who's back was turned the whole time.
"Uhhhh, back by the academy I guess," Sho nonchantly replied.
"Okay, seeya," Shuzuki waved Sho off. Sho headed home, turning right in a break on the street, while
Shuzuki turned left to go to her own home. Sho hurried home. He lived in a fairly large home with 3
seperate buildings for the main family and the two branch families. He opened the door and softly closed it
behind him.
"I'm home..." Sho called out. He walked into it, finding nobody around. Then he heard yelling from the
courtyard.
"You have no position to make that decision!" Sho heard a familiar voice yell outside.
"You're taking this too far, you're not yourself!" Another familair voice replied in the same tone.
Sho peeked his head around an open door, viewing the courtyard. The two other familes stood in shock
around his sister and father, standing in the center yelling at each other. His mother on the ground, crying.
Sho watched, partially scared of what he was watching, it wasnt normal. "I will not let you do this to Sho; he
doesn't deserve it!" Sho's mother defended Sho from some type of threat that Sho didn't know about yet.
"I think you'll find I can do whatever I can here..." Sho's father replied, undauntered by Sho's mother's
pleas. He proceeded to hit Sho's sister across the face. At first there was no result from the hit; only a loud
popping noise. Suddenly, Sho's sister fell over next to her mother. Sho was in shock, eyes
widened. "Because you were first born, Maria, you inherit this clan. My sister and brother were killed when I
was young. It is how we control order. Girl or not you are first born. You are also a chunin, I'd be surprised
if Sho even became a genin!"
Sho became angry now, he had never heard of such things from his father before. Suddenly a hand touched
his shoulder. Sho instantly turned around to see his grandfather. "Come with me..." was all his grandfather
said. Sho followed his grandfather out of the front door. His grandfather ran quickly away from the home,
heading into the forest. Sho limply followed behind. He was never aware of how fast his grandfather was on
foot.
"Where are--" Sho started, but his grandfather held up a hand.
"Not now," he replied simply. They stopped in the forest, against a large tree. "That is a tradition of our
family in the main household. But there's something else that bothers me. It hasn't been practiced in 500
years,"
"But what about my dad's brother and sister?" Sho asked.
"He was an only child," Sho's grandfather replied.
"Then what's happening?" Sho asked his grandfather.
"Something foul. Stay away from the house. I'm going to draw your father away from the village somehow.
For a few years, you must become a chunin soon Sho. After that I'll tutor you in our clan's arts," his
grandfather stood up, walking inches away from Sho.
"What about my mother and sister?"
"You may never see them again, you will not exist as far as they're concerned. If you see them in the street
hide. I will tell them you ran away, your father and I will go off to find you, and not return for as long as I
can hold him. Stay here tonight," Sho's grandfather advised.
"Okay," Sho nodded. His grandfather vanished in a puff of smoke, so he sat under the tree, the sun slowly
setting...

Haruhi Kurosaki walked slowly, her sandals pat-pating softly against the stone roads of Konoha.
She'd recently become a Genin, something she was very proud of, and the Chuunin exams were coming up.
She was more than eager to participate, despite her newly achieved Genin status. She wondered briefly if
any of the other Genin would be participating... Looking up, she saw two others walking along before running
off in separate directions. She blinked.
"Tariga..." she murmured to herself. She remembered them from the Academy. They'd sat a few rows away
from her. Would they be participating? She thought briefly back to her own three-man-squad and smiled.
They were having fun with their missions. "I'm not stopping until I get to the top," Haruhi said to herself
triumphantly.
"Good work Jett Sakineto, we're very proud of you."
"And so we bought you a gift."
"Aw cool, a Thin Sword! Thanks guys." Jett took the blade, holding it in one hand. The blade's gaurd was
beatifully carved out, shaped like a diamond.
"Alright, we're gonna finish up here and then take you out for Ramen."
"Sweet." Jett smiled again, happy. Jett's parents walked away to handle some of the other kids.
"Hmmm, let's see what I can do with this sword," Jett thought. Jett ran until he found his hiding spot, he
started mucking around with his sword by spinning it above his head."Handles well enough and it is pretty
light...if I spin it fast enough...nah it won't work...or will it?"
Jett spun the sword faster and faster and eventually he started to take off, he kept spinning it and eventually,
he was hovering above the over single story buildings.
Haruhi blinked. Hovering high above the other buildings was...someone. Her curiosity piqued, she hopped
atop a dumpster and proceeded to hop her way up to the rooftops. Once up there, she could see just who it
was that had taken to the sky. Cupping her hands around her mouth, she called out.
"Oi! Sakineto-kun!" Haruhi called, white lochs and red scarf flowing the breeze. "What are you doing up
there?" He was spinning something...a blade of some sort, she supposed. He'd been in her class at the
Academy and graduated at the top of it. In that way, she was somewhat envious of him...she hated being
outdone.

Kaito walked silently along the bustling streets of Konoha, paying little attention to those around him.
He clutched his headband in his jacket pocket. He wasn't going to wear it until he actually went on his first
mission.
"Wha? Argh!" Kaito said aloud. He fell to one knee, clutching his right arm. He pulled back his cloak, and
looked grimly at his arm, throwing the cloak back over it. He pushed the some of his white hair out of his
face as he stood back up. "Now? I wonder..." Kaito continued walking down the lane and outside of town to
the sakura tree. Kaito approached the sakura tree and leaned against it's trunk, the bark of it somewhat
relaxing after sitting down all day. He grabbed a cherry blossom and ripped it in half, letting it fly away in the
breeze.
"I consider it a sin to destroy something so beautiful," a voice said. Kaito didn't bother looking at the person.
"The sin is only to whom considers it beautiful..." Kaito replied calmly.
"How's everything going on your end? Had a fun last day at the academy?" the person asked.
"Not really. Watched some interesting moves, but nothing special," Kaito said truthfully.
"Tell me when you go on your first mission. We'd like to hear what it is," the voice said.
"It won't be anything special, you know that," Kaito smirked at his answer.
"Heh, true, but we still have a small right to know, don't we?"
"I guess. I hope you two are doing well on your mission. When should you be back?" Kaito asked the person.
"Tonight, or tomorrow morning. We'll probably be off for the rest of the week,"
"That's good, I've been tired of making ramen every night," Kaito looked at the blossoms on the tree.
"What do you think we've been eating? Well, I've gotta get back. We'll see you later son," Kaito's father
headed off.
"See ya dad," Kaito replied as his father walked off. Kaito still leaned on the tree as a small whirl of cherry
blossoms spun on the other side of it. Raen plucked another blossom out of the air and felt it in his hands. He
dropped it to the ground, and it fell solid with a thud. He threw the stone blossom, and it broke from its shell
and continued to drift with the others.
"Hmph...not good enough yet. Hm?" Kaito looked up and saw Sakineto flying through the air. He smirked and
walked down the hill back into town...

"Hi mom, hi dad," Yoriyoshi Kurogane said to his parents. He had just left the academy.
"Hey, son. So how was it?" Gidayu, Yoriyoshi's father, asked.
"It was easy, I could've finished that exam years ago,"
"I didn't want you to be a ninja that early...besides this way you could learn about your kekkei genkai,"
Gidayu started.
"Whatever you say, dad," Yoriyoshi nodded.
"Aren't you happy?" Gidayu asked his son.
"I am,"
"You don't look too happy..." Yoriyoshi's mother said stiffly.
"Well, I don't think I should be especially happy about it....Besides it's hard to get me excited about stuff like
this," Yoriyoshi replied. Later, Yoriyoshi went over to his room and put down his backpack. He took out what
was left of his lunch and ate it, while he took out a piece of paper.
"So, you'll meet your sensei in a few days huh?" Gidayu asked.Yoriyoshi turned around and noticed his father
standing next to the door. Yoriyoshi nodded.
"Brings back memories," Gidayu reminiscenced. Yoriyoshi handed Gidayu the paper he took out earlier.
"Here's the report with the results, if you're interested," Gidayu took the paper and read it.
"Well, well, perfect score. Good job," Gidayu smiled at his son. "I can see you've got a lot on your mind....I'll
just leave you alone," Gidayu left and Yoriyoshi slowly went to sleep down on his bed.
It would only be a matter of time before the exams started...
O.o;; I know it's alot, but, hey, it's the prologue. Next chapter will be much shorter.
