there are many tutorials, so u should try one. There are some on this site which proved to be helpful

yeah most people use Photoshop (I have 7.0)...honestly it just takes a lot of practice, trial-and-error, messing around with the program for a long time. I've heard of people using other programs, but I'd say photoshop is the easiest one out there

Gimp is very similiar to photoshop, i had a trial period, gimp is much easier to get used to...took me hour and its free, what more could you ask for??? its Free!!! , dont mind my cheepness
