Well I guess what I would do depends on why I killed someone.

If it was by accident or in self defence (I would never kill someone on purpose unless they were trying to kill me or someone I love first) would make a difference.

If it was by accident, I would totally freak out and be really nervous and then I would probably turn myself in to the police because I would feel that I deserved to be punished for taking another life.

If I killed someone in self defence, I would still be very nervous and freak out but I would probably also be relieved that I had protected whoever the person was trying to kill. I would also take myself to the police (once I calmed down) in this case, but I would probably calmly explain that I didn't deserve to be punished or sent to jail because I was acting in self defence. In other words, in this case, the jerk who was trying to kill me first was already commiting a crime by trying to kill me so I would not be comitting a murder by protecting myself or others (even if the guy ended up dead because of me protecting myself).

What would I do if I killed a person? I'll probably just stare at it and wonder how I was actually able to kill the person... I'm so darn weak and scared!

But in an anime version... I'll still be staring at it, watch it as it bleeds, and then get rid of it... maybe turn it into dust or something. After all, I shouldn't leave any traces of its existence.

Oh well, that probably would only happen if it's necessary to do it. So unless I'm provoked to the highest level or threatened in some way, I wouldn't do anything.

I would probably ditch the body somewhere where it cannot be found, burn all my clothes that I was wearing at the time, ditch all of the murder weapons, evidence surrounding etc, take a shower thoroughly, and try to forget about it. Although I would never kill somebody because I dont think I would ever find the need to.

I would grab anything that has my prints on it and either yake it with me or get the prints off it. Depending how bloodyy it was I would bun my clothing and anything else that I can that had my prints on it.
Next I would get as much money as I could and jet. I would take nothing that would get me arrested or pulled over and head for the northern boarder and apply for citizenship. From canada I would head over to england where I would get citizenship again. I would be safe their, being a British citizen then. Chip chip cherio!

If I was dumb enough to kill someone, I'd get a phone, call the cops, and since I'd be going to jail anyway, when the cops arrived I'd try to kill as many of them as possible. After I killed them I'd walk down the street slitting people throat's open and cutting out people's eyes, then eating them.

Honestly, that is a dumb question because nobody knows what they would do in a situation like that until it's done. This isn't an "Oh yea, I would be so calm and collected and I wouldn't mind at all" or a "I would totally freak out" situation because people change when things like that happen and they do things they would never expect. I've seen it happen.

I agree partially. Most people do not know what they would really do in such a situation (including myself).
However is my case, I can make an educated guess based on how I have acted in former real stressful situations in my life (being dropped 3 floors in an elevator all alone and by some miracle not dieing, having a relative in a major car accident, and other things that have happened over the years which thankfully all turned out ok in the end).

I said that "I would freak out" because during most highly stressful situations in my life, I have become incredibly calm during the exact moment of the situation and taken charge to make sure everything turns out ok. The moment the stressful event has passed though, and I am no longer the one everyone is depending on, I tend to lose it completely for about 15 mins (when no one is looking lol) before regaining my composure and moving on to whatever has to be done next.

So, going from past life experience, I think I know myself reasonably well to make such an educated guess. I'd really rather not find out for certain though lol.

I'm generally a seriously peaceful person who avoids anything violent (when I'm not practicing martial arts), even though I have often considered things like who I would die for and who I would kill for.

*sigh* My thoughts can get way too morbid for my own good sometimes lol.


Anyway, yeah...I think that lots of people may respond in a way that they hope they would act...but don't forget..some of us have life experience to help back up our assumptions.

@Citachan: I agree with you. Like you, I have my own experiences to back up my response to this thread. The anime version was, of course, exaggerated. But I could react based on either those two. I could panic like stare at it and get so confused. But I could also just stand there, stare at it, and my only reaction... curiosity. Oh well, curiosity killed the cat, as they say. I didn’t get killed. I even survived a stampede incident. But my curiosity got my mind all mixed up. I'm pretty messed up, eh?
