Oh one last thing, flash backs will be italic.
Summary
War has broken over the fire country.
At first all is well in the hidden leaf village, only having to send some jounin and highly qualified chunnins Into the war to help the feudal lords samurai, but as we will see that will all change soon, we follow the path of three genin from the fumma clan, which is currently residing In konoho, as they rise from the ashes of a nearly extinct clan and help shape the history of the war not soon to be forgotten.
Prelude
“The wind somehow always feels even colder right before a battle”
“your right, but at least every ones hot blood and sweating palms warms us up”
The whole company began to laugh
“Quiet in the ranks!” barked the general, “we’ll be approaching the Country of Night soon”
That was when they heard the arrows fly
“Close formation, put up your shields and put away that damned katana” he barked at an unlucky youngster feebly drawing his sword, “its useless here, every one grab your spears and-”
And with his last gasp the general fell to his knees with an arrow protruding through his chest. The tiny little platoon of fighters all took arms and charged through the trees into the group of Shadow Samurai
Yasumaru fought like a mad man, instinctively diving behind a tree and waiting for the thud of a dozen or so arrows, than using his stack of kunai as weapons against the armour less Shadow samurai, he weaved through trees with the skill of a veteran fighter. Catching an enemy in the corner of his eye to the left he dealt him a swift kunai to the throat with his pinpoint aim, then hearing a whizzing through the air he did a swift roll into a bush hearing thuds where he had been standing moments before. For the next few minutes he spent his time diving from bush to bush picking off unlucky enemies. Then hearing the unsheathing of swords he drew his katana, and leapt from his current bush to charge the enemy, only to find himself in front of 2 dozen enemies brandishing weapons at him and grinning.
“Well, if that’s the way it is, I’LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!” he screamed whipping his last kunai at them
And charging at the group, he felt the numb sting of arrows hitting his body, but through his rage. He didn’t see the explosive tag strapped to the arrow in his shoulder…..
Chapter 1
Chakra strings
Chakra strings
“I heard we lost the 13 company at last night’s battle.” stated an overly relaxed boy lying on a branch almost as thick as him.
“Yeah, the used their bows and took the company by surprise, they didn’t stand much of a chance,” replied a sharp eyed and stoat looking boy, standing like a statue on the under side of the same branch,
“You know, you 2 should really train more often, especially you Hasuko.” barely surprising the boy above him.
“At least Eruriku practice his weapons training,” then switching to a whisper, “not that it will do him much good with all the reading he bloody well spends his time on.” he said cautiously eyeing the 3rd boy leaning against the tree trunk 15 feet below them reading a book (the book is labelled “Theory of advanced physics in Battle”)
Then reaching down to the holster on his right side, he pulled out a tiny metal ball barring then flicking it with his thumb off his hand, it flew up the tree smacking the upside down boy right on the toes.
Losing his concentration he came flying down but at the last second flipping onto his feet
“You think too much with your muscles Maruku,” he said walking towards the cliff edge by the tree “Your Taijutsu can always be improved with chakra.” Leaving the other boy honestly thinking. Then when they both were at the edge of the cliff the Hasuko called out.
“Is everyone leaving then?” he said while rolling off the side of the branch, then he began to spin, being pulled by the threads that they were all so familiar with, unwrapping from around his body hook to the tree creating a yo-yo effect, and when he was at the bottom and about to roll back up, they disappeared. “Could’ve warned a guy” he said while running and swan diving off the cliff. Both Eruriku and Maruku watched as that indestructible little thread came shooting from his feet and attached to a nearby rock, then they both did likewise, just like they practiced with the clan’s sensei’s….
“Keep it up boys, 15 more minutes and we can stop.” said an overly stern looking sensei.
“Sensei! We’ve been at this for over 2 hours.” All 3 of them blurted in exhausted unison. Coming out of their fingers was thin lines of chakra generated out of the chakra points on their finger, they would retract them and raise their bodies up towards a tree where they were tied, then lower themselves back down.
“Iron cross now!”
“Yes sensei!” they all said, then pulling them selves up by their arms holing them straight out making them into a ‘cross’ “hold until command” several minutes passed “arc flip to leg hold” the 3 boys Eruriku, Maruku, and Hasuko then flipped themselves upside down and shot chakra strings from their feet up onto the tree and tied themselves on before falling.
“Forward curl up!………”
“Now allow the chakra flow in your chakra system to relax and become elasticy to slowly descend,” Eruriku thought to himself, “connect higher flow chakra strings from hands to create solid strings and connect to the main line and pull yourself forward to land on your feet,” Eruriku noticed the other 2 doing the same, a basic skill for most of the Fumma clan but now matter what skill he was using Eruriku always repeated the steps in his head for review.
Eruriku called out to the other 2 “Maruku Hasuko, I’ve gotta report to Jamesu-sensei meet back here, he said he had to talk to me, weapons training at the dojo when I get back?” he finished just as they flipped on their feet.
“yeah sure, next week were off for the chunnins exam and we wont be able to train anymore, Not to mention were all on different squads so its are last week as ally’s for a while” Maruku said with a bit to much of a grin. “I’m coming for both of you.” he said while adjusting the wrist guards on his arms, something the other 2 knew was a gesture he was wanting to fight.
“If it happens, it happens,” said Hasuko in his usual ‘go with the flow’ attitude, “but you know that you’ll never even find us, you have zero sense of direction, and zero tracking skills Maruku.” Everything about Hasuko screams easy going, right down to his scruffy hair, wrinkled and worn in pants, and crooked forehead protector.
“Okay I’ll meat you guys there, cya.” As Eruriku walked away they both heard that familiar clink, clink, clink of his 3 swords hitting his shin and wrist guards. 2 of the swords are identical, both straight edge, one sided blades about 2 ½ feet long with regular samurai hilts with one difference, the hilts had a hoop at the bottom that neither of them could figure out, the 3rd sword was a massive 4 foot blade, double edged, and was always slung over his back. His clothing consisted of a pair of black samurai pants, with a black tunic with ripped off sleeves, as every one always comment on, was a nice contrast to his blonde hair.
“Bah, ill never get that guy, how does he expect to get by without any jutsu except his chakra strings?” blurted Maruku.
“I’m getting worried about him too, we floor him every time, and he doesn’t seem to put up much of a challenge.” they both stood there thoughtfully,
“Well I’m personally more worried about you, what have you been doing lately besides lay around, hmm?”
“ Maybe I‘ve just been hiding my techniques from you…..” their words drifted off to the night as they departed

“Jamesu-sensei I’m here, what did you want to show me” he asked a large man, standing over a large scroll, with a large pair of glasses.
“I understand you are attending this year’s chunnins exam,” He said without taking his eyes from the scroll. “And I understand you have refused your fathers lessons for the puppet, even though you seem to have a better grasp of chakra control and strings than the other genin in the fumma clan?” he said now rolling up the scroll and tucking it into a drawer.
“Yes sensei, I just feel that my father’s route is not the one for me, it just doesn’t suit my thinking patterns, it requires the user to concentrate too much on the puppet leaving him open for attack, and during this war, and it’s probably not the best route for a ninja of my nature.” He finally finished with a nervous glance to the floor.
“Are you sure? Your father is surely disappointed, his father was a puppeteer, and his father before him.”
“Yes I’m sure.” Eruriku answered with a pause, “I know it isn’t suited to my style.”
“You’ve made a wise choice in this.” he had to pause for a moment to wait for Eruriku’s jaw to retract back from the floor, “I’ve also always thought you weren’t suited for that technique, but you left out one part, you don’t have a style, in fact, besides chakra stings, you don’t even have any techniques do you?” he eyed Eruriku with a mocking face until he answered.
“I haven’t developed a style yet, but I haven’t been wasting my time either, I’m well versed in most swordplay, and my aim is well over average.” he said defensively
“I would like to teach you something Eruriku, something my little brother would have never felt necessary to teach to his son.” Eruriku was genuinely intrigued, anything his father wasn’t interested in was bound to be something interesting! “Follow me.”
He lead Eruriku through a back door to a large training ground with many targets, half destroyed dummies, and tree’s so riddled with kunai they resembled pin cushions.
“If you can master My Fuuma Eye jutsu in 2 days, I will teach you all I know.”
