I have recently downloaded 20 episodes of naruto and have watched up to episode 12 (subtitled) Im trying to find a good anime series that would fit me, naruto's 1st episode interested me, but it just drags on from there. I dont know if this is a tradition in every anime series or if naruto has too much of it, but I find there is waaaaaaaaaaaayy to much talking going on during a fight or inbetween fights and not nearly enough action. Also I find it very annoying when they explain exactly what they did after they do pretty much every single ninja technique they did. Does this series speed up anytime soon or does it continue on like this? Does it follow a set storyline or does it just consist of the Ninjas in training going on missions to get stronger throughout the series? If not can anyone reccomend an anime that might be relevant to my interests? (Watched first episode of Bleach and i didnt really like it)

Maybe try Death Note it totally kick @ss. It's only up to episode 10, so far. You can try Samurai Deeper Kyo. Or maybe Black Cat. ^__^ Happy Watching!!

Samurai Champloo might be your type if u don't want naruto's brand of anime. Although i find it strange since naruto definitely appeals to most people.

I would recommend you take a look at 26 episode long animes. Naruto as of now is 200+ episodes, which is quite rare for an anime. It moves quite slow. Most other animes move quicker.

Do you want samurai, ninja type anime? Or does it not matter? Just dont watch anime that moves slowly if you dont like the pacing of Naruto. I am sure you can find animes within this forum (go to the general anime section) and browse titles. Look them up at anime encyclopedias (animenfo, animenewsnetwork, etc) and choose from ones that fit your preference.

I personally like anime that moves relatively slow (not too slow), but pays attention to detail and depth. Maybe you are just looking for some action?

Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter X Hunter, maybe? Definitely Trigun though, that anime is definitely more action than talking.

I cant believe you think Naruto is dragging on and on, and your only at episode 12. Like someone mentioned, Naruto seems to be an easily enjoyed anime.

Naruto gets really good at around 16th episode and gets very good from then on.

With Bleach it is very boring for the first 10 episodes but after that it is absolutely fantastic.

Death Note is a very new anime but is probably the best anime I've ever watched. There are also 2 live action movies based on it, but I have heard that they don't do justice to the Anime or Manga

Basilisk is a complete anime has about 26 episodes, which is very good, there is also a live action movie loosely based on it called "Shinobi", which is OK, but watch that after the Anime.

Fullmetal Alchemist is always a safe bet, it's a complete anime consisting of 52 episodes I think.

But seriously stick to Naruto and Bleach they are good.

try the bleach series i havent watched it myself but everyone says it is really good

Death note is simply fantastic but you might not like it as there is a bit of talking(He explains what he is doing etc) and not really any fighting. But it is one of the best animes I've seen.

I agree with the guy who said to watch the short animes. They just get it over and done with.

just keep watching i didn't like naruto until the exam thing happen, that how i got hook into the anime more

yeah, naruto gets pret-ty dull sometimes. Right now, it's on eppie 214 I believe, but so far it's just fillers. T__________T;;;; It gets really interesting past the chuunin exams.

Animes that have good plots...hmm...Death Note is pretty good. One of the few good Yaois out there, and I really don't like yaoi..>_> .hack// is always good with plot. So is Mythical Loki Ragnarok (although it is sometimes hard to follow) and Fullmetal Alchemist. My list can go on and on...but these are my favs. ^o^

all of these series have action with good plot except Black Blood Brothers. The plot on that one wasn't really that good but the action in the final episode is worth watching the series for.

I got another one for you. I just watched the second installment of Full Metal Panic (The Second Raid), and remembered that the Full Metal Panic! series had a lot of action and less talking. IF you mind humour, then you should enjoy this series. Fumoffu is the comedy one, pretty much just fillers, but it definitely a great season. I havent watched all of the Fumoffu ones, but they are very funny.

try bleach,saiyuki reload,blood+,one piece,samuria deeper kyo,or gokusen!!!!!! They may fit you but I don't know!!!!!! Just try them!!!!

naruto series is a storyline, but throw in a few mislaneous episodes in, to soften the impact of sum episodes. but when i seen the first few episode, i didn't think much of it. it starts getting really good after the forest of death chunin exams. but if u want a new anime, try inuyasha and s-cry-ed and bleach.

here are a couple of really good ones that almost all otakus enjoy. cowboy bebop, trigun, FLCL,vandred.rurouni kenshin. these are just a small fragment, check them out let me know what you think, if you like I shall add alot more to the list, right now im just to lazy.
