As the series stands today, I believe Kakashi is strongest, but after the three year jump, I believe Naruto is going to be surprisingly strong.

i dont think the characters can actually compared because the fighting styles are different

i'm saying that its sasuke because you saw how he fared against naruto in the time skip, but i predict that in two or so weeks when naruto gets the jutsu going hes going to be the stronger one

You cant really compare different anime characters' strengths though. I would probably have to say one of those hguys from Blood + though. They move super fast, quickly regenerate, and are pretty much invincible. Hard to beat if you ask me.
