Kiba is about a kid named Zed who is bored with his life in modernized society. He wants to be free, but this conflicts with the rules of his society (this anime is heavily based on justice and rules of society), so he is constantly in trouble with his school and the cops. After a mysterious spirit lures him into a portal, the world changes around him. Everything seems at peace in this new world, but things arent always great. This is an anime about fighting with spirits (think Shaman King-esque) and swords.

Its definitely not a bad anime. We have a discussion going in the General Anime Information forum, so feel free to contribute to our week to week comments about each episode.

This anime is full of action and is pretty much about different countries and how they are ruled. Some are tyrant ruled, while others seem democratic, while others are aristocratic. An interesting mix of countries get caught up in a war, in which the key spirits are the main focus of the mastermind behind the evil plan to get a hold of all of the key spirits, using any means necessary.

I definitely think this anime falls short of being a classic though. I dont know if I like Zed that much, although he is starting to improve.

Personally i really did not like this anime all that much...it was very interesting at first but towards the end i started to lose interest. Not a bad anime though, I just lost interest a little in the end. i would rate it a 6/10.

I find myself saying this about most anime, but it had so much potential but did not take advantage of it. The strongest spirit always wins, which should not be so. Certain spirits, because of their element (if they were fire, earth, electric, etc), should have advantages over others (water kills fire). Trading of spirits should have been more incorporated instead of losing Amil Gaul, the person freaks out, and returns him.

The storyline was fine, but a better incorporation of ideas could have made this a ton better. It was full of plot twists and was definitely unpredictable.
