I liked the anime. I tried reading the manga. Got confused.

Thought the anime was a little short.

I like Alucard. He's funny. And I I like psychotic people.

Manga is a lot better. Plus they are doing OVA-s bu manga chapters so that is great. You should watch OVA-s. Only two are out, but each OVA is one volume of the manga.

The series is a different story than the manga.

The manga is better i think, but the ova's are just as good since they are based of the manga.

Ive seen the series, but only read the first two manga.

The anime wasnt great. It was short, the style/quality of the animation wasnt amazing and there was surprisingly little decent action.

Perhaps in the future they will release a more action-oriented series. Perhaps a spin-off ?

In all honesty, the ideas and characters are great, but both the manga and anime are pretty bad.

Shame Allucard is such a ripoff of Vash.

You have a brain, right? Since you watched the anime and attempted to read the manga, why dont you make your own decision on which is better?

I havent seen either, but was planning on watching the anime someday. I am not a fan of manga for the most part.

@noodleplugerine what are you talking about? Vash the Stamped is a plant. And he is in no way related to Alukard. I see no reason to compare this two.
I really don't understand so if you could tell me relationship and what links this two character together I would appreciate it.

Look at Allucard.

Look at Vash.

Look at Vincent from Final Fantasy.

All red coats, all big 6shot pistols, all sunglasses, yet Vash (as far as I know) came first.


Hellsing is all about getting a cool looking character, sticking them in a cool theme, and trying to sell a terrible story.

I like Hellsing manga, anime not so much. But new Hellsing OVA follow manga so at least read manga before forming a opinion on Hellsing.

I have 7 books of it, and it's almost totally plot-less, although very cool.

Oh well to each his own. But there is 9compet volumes of Hellsing, and 2 chapters of volume 10. Read them, maybe it will no be so pointless after you see that.

But is his personality the same? I mean, characters may look similar, but may not act similarly at all. I liked Vash's personality a lot, but considering the theme and atmosphere of Hellsing, I cant see Vash there.
