I found out that if your password on the forums contains certain characters, you won't be able to log in on the download server for the manga or music. You will get the message "Invalid Password", and be unable to download anything because you can't log in. I don't directly know exactly which character is responsible, but it could be any of these: @#$%^&*

I changed my password and things worked fine when using only text and numbers.
