i saw the first last week and the 2nd last night, its v. good so far, its nice to have a weekly anime that isnt filler again

Death note is awesome at the moment, I didn't think it would be this good to be honest. Hopefully it will make us last the Naruto and Bleach fillers seasons.

The anime is cool so far, and I think it will stay cool hehe. As long as it follows the manga, nothing can go wrong! This serie will definitely become one of the best series of this year, or one of the best series ever.

I'm also wathing Death Note, and I realle love it. The days uptil itøs released, I'm so excited even through I'm reading the manga, and then already know what's going to happend xP

I thought about buying the manga a few days ago but I didn't have enough money.
A friend was talking about the manga a while ago, maybe I'm buying it next week - I need something new to read and it looks interesting.

This is a great anime, really well done, far as I can tell it will be a hit for the age.

Heh, watched it since episode 2 came out. I know this anime is going to be huge. The torrents have so many seeders, and I hebent seen a bad thing about it yet. This will become a classic anime.

I am really getting into it. This might be a manga I will buy.

Does anyone know how long this anime will be? Will it just be 26 episodes, or will it have more than 1 season?

I just watched episode 6, and am shaking from the suspense. This is probably one of the most well thought out animes I have ever seen. It sucks that I cant watch the next episode. Light is in a predicament, I hope to see him get out of this and kill Penbar's fiance.

What did you guys think of episode 6? I thought it was the best one yet. One of the most suspensful and interesting of them all.

Just watched episode 8. I am shaking, this anime is the best! I cant believe he was so smooth in finding out that he was under suspicion. Although L is just as smart, and is kind of seeing through Light's plans. Although I think he is baffled and would be hard pressed to suspect Light after this. I need the next episode now!

There is going to be about 37-39 episodes, not exactly sure how many. I download it regularly, but until it is completed I don't intend to watch. I prefer to sit one day and look it without waiting for next episode.

hum... yeah. i have to agree with that. i'm currently downloading and i have to wait in anticipation for the next episodes to be released.

I could never do that, expecially with Death Note. This is one of the best animes ever made, and once I watched the first episode, I had to keep watching them. I hate waiting too, but it gives me something to look forward to every week.

The camera episode was good, but I think my favorite one so far was the one before that, the one where he met Penbar's fiancee. That episode was so intense and thrilling that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I cant believe he actually fooled her in the end. Light is damn good.

I still dont know who to side with. L or Kira. I always become emotionally attached to the main character of an anime, but what Light is doing is definitely wrong. Its a false sense of justice that instills fear in people around the world. I think L is the right one, but I always love to see L misjudge or to see Light succeed in his mission.

This anime is the best anime ever, very cleverly done. Especially seen as the main character is like an Anti-Hero, because he is killing people, but you want him to win and not get caught.

This will probably be the best anime ever if it continues to keep the episodes so good.

This show is so freaking awesome. I have been looking for a well thought-out/intelligent show to watch. I didn't know writing in a notebook could look so hardcore either! I wish it would look like that when i write. I couldn't help myself after watching the first 8 episodes that I downloaded the manga and started reading it. If you guys think light is smart now, you haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg. He is a freaking genius. I am definitely going to buy the manga when I get the chance even though i can get it for free, because i like supporting the mangas i enjoy.

I absoultely love Death Note. I swear the plot is so good that it pulled me in so quickly. I even bought the manga to it because I was interested in it from the very beginning.

I dont know man, I think it takes a genious to get someone who is a good agent to show you their real ID. I thought that involved an incredible amount of wit.

I wish there were more intelligent shows out there like this that werent futuristic mecha spaceship animes.

If you haven't read the manga, you haven't seen the beginning of how smart this guy is.

But he already made a few big mistakes. He had no intention of being found out. He made the mistake of killing people around school hours instead of planning deaths around the clock, killing only local criminals, and killing the impersonator of L on TV. He sharpened up after these happenings, but if he was that smart, he would have been able to think ahead further than he did from the beginning. I think I have seen the ways of Light, but to be honest, I think L is everything that Light is and maybe even smarter. Out of the entire world, he narrows it down to 2 people.

Episode 9 was great. I cant believe L admitted to Light that he was L. Interestingly enough, Light cant do anything about it. And he doenst even know if he really is L or not. This is going to get better, I can tell.

it just gets better and better, every episode is a work of genius, i watched the live action movie part 1 a while ago, it doesnt do the anime/manga justice at all, stick to the series guys, roll on tuesday (ep 10!)

I read the manga a good while back and loved it. So I was way happy to find out about the anime!
Even though I pretty much know what's going to happen, it's just great to see how it gets portrayed in the anime setting.
So far the only thing that is different that how I had it in my head is Ryuk (or whatever spelling is being used), the shimigami. I had him as a touch less growly and a bit more... I dunno... not playful...curious is a better word. But I like how the anime portrays him so far as well.

Thanks for the feedback on the live action spud hed. Has anyone else seen any of it? I'm really interested in that too, but was waiting a good while before looking to see if it was avaliable anywhere.

I have a copy of the live action movie, but the subtitles have terrible grammar. I dont know when I will watch it, but from the few minutes I previewed of it, the anime looks so much better.

The manga is shocking at the end.
The anime is okay. I'm not really keen on episode 9 it's pretty boring.

And.... regarding eternalmetal's post ,humans do mistakes. But still.... Light didn't know that Kira will be feared as a mass murderer.

I think he could have predicted fear, because that is exactly what he was trying to do. He was trying to instill fear in people.

Episode 9 is the msot boring episode yet, but that is just comparable to the rest. I still think it was a great episode. It introduced L to Light. This is a turning point in the anime. A very interesting episode, although it was not as thrilling as the past few. I think the next episode (11) will be very interesting. Episode 10 kind of made Light look a bit suspicious, but L is good. I think Light handled himself incredibly well to still be considered in the 1 percentile range even after confrontation.

Eps 11..... Wht was it about again?? You can just tell me. I read finish the manga.

Light, is after all a genius prodigy. I still liked the way he played the game up until the very end with Near.

I havent been able to find ep 11 yet. It seems like all the anime I watch has been released late this week. I will be dissapointed if I cant watch death note tonight.

DAMN! New Death Note totally took me by surprise! Another death note? I guess the other shinigami are gettng jealous

This was kind of like a filler though. Not a normal filler, but a transition into the next arc. It introduced someone else, and a new plot. Next week's episode will be one that I will highly anticipate. I cant wait for that one, will be very intense.

I dont even know who to root for. What Light is doing is against my morals, but I do want to see him get far. I wonder if he will slip up in L's eyes when he is not told that this is a fake Kira? I bet he will bring it up immediately. Light is smart enough to realize that this new way of going at the murders is way different, and evidence points to it not being Kira. So interesting, I wish there were more people to discuss this with than just myself. I want to discuss this with people who have not read the manga, so lets hear your premonitions!

This is the best Anime EVER!!!!!!! Episode 11 was very unexpected, never expected there to be another death note. Awesome.

They are both about the same I think. But I prefer TW's for some reason.

I don't know what happens between episode 9-11 but didn't they say at the beginning that Ryuk dropped two death notes? It wouldn't be unexpected to me.

From what I saw, there is another shinigami doing the same thing as Ryuk. Kind of interesting, but I am sure they will catch her quickly enough.

I prefer the subs that come out quicker, and in this case it is the TW's who come out first. They both seem to have about the same subbing quality, which is pretty good. Though I do tihnk the quality of Lie Evil is a bit better, but it doesnt really mattr because they are both decent fansubs.

I download mine in RM from AnimeGelade. When does it usually get subbed by?

And also, I just finished 11, and yeah it is another Shingami. My bad.
