I do hope that the anime's ending will be the opposite of the manga's. >_>

I never said not to get emotional about it, but when it starts making you outraged and angry and stuff, I think its a little too much. But your a girl, and girls are generally more emotional than guys, so maybe its understandable, idk. I just dont see why you would want to stop reading it, even though it seems like you still enjoy it.



I never said you didnt understand, I said that you didnt agree (meaning you fully understood and took a view). But if you think about it, what Light is doing is no different than countries at war. This isnt to say that it is automatically correct just because it is the way the world works, but it is true nonetheless; countries make sacrifices in order to reap the benefits in the future.

I agree with you, Light started going a bit overboard. I dont even think he foresaw himself contemplating the death of his family, but when reality came, the thought had to cross his mind. If he gets caught, his dream is over and he is dead. I guess I dont need to tell you the reasons why Light had to do what he did, but I would not call him truly evil (although he really does look it when he kills people, even ones he cared about).

Maybe I mistook your feelings about this, I do get quite emotional myself over some things I have seen, but the way you talked about it was like you were having nightmares about the guy. I mean, at that point it's just a fictional character. Sorry for the misunderstanding

Its gotta be a good series to make you think this much. But I dont think they made Light a hate-able character, I think they made him a hell of a good villain with very reasonable justifications. I am sick of the apparently evil villain who wants to blow up the world or something stupid. The writer definitely is not portraying Light as a good guy anymore like he did in the beginning. The way his eyes turn red and he gets all excited when he kills, this is definitely not the way to portray a peacemaker. Its pretty controversial though, Light really isnt doing anything that any/most current world leaders wouldnt.

Well, if he is not evil yet, he surely is going down that path (but I still believe he is evil). He didn't start out that way, but I think at this point, it is safe to say that he IS evil. Delighting in the death of people isn't exactly what nice people do. XP

No, I don't have nightmares about it (that would be pretty whack if I did!), I just really don't like the character. But, yeah, the more I think about it, it IS a good story. It does make people think about things. What sort of actions do you think you'd take if you found the death note? Perhaps I would become something like Light, but I sincerely hope that I would not.

Now that I give it more thought, they make him realistic, at the very most. It's interesting.

I am not in favor of war, by the way... I always think there must be another way. At least, I hope that there is... But people don't want to sit and talk like adults, they want to blow **** up. TT^TT

If I had the Death Note. It wouldnt be so easy to start writing names down, even if they are criminals. Im not really self righteous or anything, but I probably wouldnt get much use of it. I would probably kill someone, feel pretty bad, and probably not do it again. Pretty boring I guess. What do you want me to say, world peace by killing people? Racial cleansing? Overpopulation control by weeding out people who bring our society down? Improving the quality of people through genetic cleansing?

I guess there are a lot of things you could do with it, but I dont think it is up to anyone to choose who lives and who dies.

War is unavoidable. People only change their opinions/actions when someone forces them to. Flipping a coin will not make someone get off of your holy land. People just like to fight I guess, I mean a lot of big wars started over unnecessary killing (maybe not to the one doing the assassination) which then just escalate. Of course most of these problems could have been solved without killing, but it only takes one pull of the trigger to start a full-blown war. And the fact that people get overly aggressive and are quick to initiate a fight without even thinking of a peaceful resolution.

Well, it was a rhetorical question, but it's interesting to know how others would use a death note if they found one... I would probably feel really bad after killing someone, too. I mean, you can't know for sure these people are guilty of what they are supposed to be guilty of. But I would definitely want to use it on people who harm children, they are the people who bug me most of all. I may hate children myself, but I would never cut off a baby's arms and leave it to bleed to death or molest a child. The very thought strikes me. But I AM a girl, so I guess I have some of that "mother" in me after all.

I would make Paris Hilton my first victim though. XP

I hate war. I think there has to be ways of avoiding it... But I would rather not get into that one. If the whole world thought of war as avoidable, than it would not exist, but there are a lot of people out there who seem to think it is the only way. One of my favorite quotes:

So Death Note has finished One of the best and most unique animes ever in my opinion. The ending was OK, but I wish that the opposite would have happened, it would be really cool, if they animated an alternate ending episode as well and aired it.

Didn't like the manga end . It was pretty obvious that it would happen but i didn't want it to, so I hoped that the opposite would have happened.

I dont know I never read the manga version of Death Note but I did just watch the final episode and I laughed....

Light is especially stupid in this episode in my opinion, he should have had a backup plan. I feel sorry for Misa.

Oh no the Death Note is gone. i just got done watching it, and I wish I waited to watch it all in one sitting.

The ending was expected actually. Probably how it would have ended in real life. It was definitely not the grand ending I was expecting.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe Death Note is Done. I'm on episode 35 & still haven't been able to get my hands on a subbed version of 36. I'll have to admit, I think I can pretty much predict how this is going to end, although I wished it didn't have to.

Anyways, please no spoilers as to how it ends. And before I forget, does anyone have a link to get the final episode. Much appreciated & thanks in advance.

Yay! I finally read the ending, and I was pleased. I didn't think it sucked at all.

My friend and I talked about the differences in the manga vs. anime.

I've only seen one epp of the anime and only a part of the movie. I've read the whole manga though.

I've watched the first two episodes, pretty much the same so far.

It follows the manga pretty closely as far as I've been told, but a lot of people prefer the anime because of the music, which is great.

The background music wasn't bad. The opening and endings weren't bad either, but so far, not very memorable either. I prefer most of the openings and endings of Bleach and Naruto. But I am picky... I don't like a lot of intros and endings... I usually skip them. (But I'm downright fanatical about some of the Naruto and Bleach ones)

I LOVE the music in video games. Especially Legend of Mana and Suikoden 2 and 3.

I've seen all the episodes & I loved it! It's interesting to watch how Light handles things by writing in different ways of how people die. I agree with what he does almost 100%. It was 100% until I had a conversation about crime with someone & realised that about 90% or more killings are last minute ones & not planned, which can't be helped sometimes, but planned killings or people that won't change should be Death Noted for sure! It's really cool, a great anime! There's only 37 episodes though & wouldn't liked to have seen more but I don't know how it could have carried on for a long time because it might seem to be dragging on.

i got into death note about a month ago, love it, it rlly makes u think and kinda messes with your mind, i sould read it more im only half way through

I've been watching Death Note since it first aired in Japan. I love every moment of it. It's my favorite Anime.

I've watched it in bits and pieces, coming and going out of the room while my bros were watching it. They made me store it on my laptop and I have yet to watch it. Still, what little I watched I did find interesting. Probably the reason I have still not watched it properly is because I already know the story from my bro. I'll probably get around to watching it during the summer hols.
