There is a game like Smash that came out of Japan called Battle Stadium D.O.N, I've seen my friends play it, but I never had time to play. I just wondered if people know this game exists.
Battle Stadium D.O.N.: Dragonball vs. One Piece vs. Naruto

I was also wondering if this was any good. I havent gotten to play it yet, but I was considering buying it not too long ago. On some reviews I read alot of people said that the game didnt live up to expectations and got very repetitive, it is a SSB clone like you said, but im guessing its not as fun. I always thought it was a great idea and would be really fun, but after hearing as many negative feedback as I did I didnt really want to take the chance.

I agree with you, the game is really not that great. The specials in the game makes no sense, since you can use it almost every 2 seconds. The Dragonball characters are very cheat because you can use their kamehamehas and wipe almost everyone out. Though I must say it is fun playing against friends.

The only time I would play it would be when friends are over anyway. So you have played it then?
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 06:10 PM
no not really, never had the time. I saw my friends playing it at school, but I had class. When I came back and started playing Naruto #04, people wanted to go back to D.O.N. I never wanted to since I was pwing everyone . . . but their reaction to wanting to play the game is enough to get me interested

Im really considering buying this game now, I dont know what came over me.

Anyway Id like to play it before I bought it though, its too bad theres no way to rent it.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 07:02 PM
Yeah that does suck, but I can . . Yeah . . or just buy it for $70
548753
Oct 12 2006, 07:39 PM
Well Im in a situation where I can get DON, or Bleach Blade Battlers, which should I get?
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 07:41 PM
Is that the newest one?
Because I know of Bleach GC: Koukon ni Mamieru Shinigami
548753
Oct 12 2006, 07:44 PM
Of Bleach? Its suppose to be something like powerstone, and its for PS2. I havent heard anything at all about it though, heres a
LinkI know its not a sequel to the GC one though, thank God.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 07:50 PM
well if it's like Power Stone then it should be good, That reminds me the specials used in D.O.N. are like the moves in Power Stone
548753
Oct 12 2006, 07:58 PM
Yeah, it looks really good, but what bothers me is that I havent heard anything about it. No hype or anything.

So I can either take a chance with BBB, or I can get DON which I know is ok.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 08:02 PM
Then maybe wait or make your friends buy it first

. . . go with gut instincts!
548753
Oct 12 2006, 08:07 PM
Thats a great idea! Let one of my friends get it first!

Well I think I would have more fun with DON, I really dont know why, gut instinct I guess.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 08:09 PM
well If it's for the GC, then yes D.O.N is better because the PS2 is made more for single player games
548753
Oct 12 2006, 08:15 PM
Yeah its for GC, so I guess Ill get that, thanks for you help Shino.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 08:23 PM
no worries, but if you hate the game don't blame me. . . lol . . . but It should be okay.
Further info:
to unlock characters is like how you get trophies in smash
to use specials in the game you need to collect the gems that pops out of a character when they are hurt
And I said for the GC because there is also a PS2 version of it

548753

david20co
Oct 12 2006, 08:46 PM
yeah i know i love harry potter, well not him but the books.

thats also a reason why i stop playing, i realize that it was a waste of money
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 08:50 PM
D.O.N. is okay (just looking), playing (probably a whole new story) - nice Initial D Sig
Yes back to you david20Co, yes it is that's why I stopped. The last game was Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4
548753
Oct 12 2006, 08:54 PM
Thanks. Anyway there really hasnt been anything worthwhile since Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 in my opinion, but what a game to compete with! I have been playing that game for about a year and its still fun, especially when you have friends over.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 08:55 PM
Yes I agree, I love spanking my friends.
Favorite characters:
Itachi
Kimimaro
Lee
2nd Hinata
Kabuto
david20co
Oct 12 2006, 08:55 PM
mm i should really get that game
spanking my friends
LMAO
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 08:58 PM
Yes, but a word of advise get the GC one because Gc is made for multiplayer action. The PS2 is more concerned about the graphics (but it is really nice). The PS2 version, I think only needs the mod chip to play.

Oct 12 2006, 09:00 PM
My friends are so easy to spank too.

My favs are:
Shika (easily teleports)
Kisame (steals chakra!)
Itachi (Teleporting and clones are fun

)
Haku (Needles are great! you can have them levetate in air!)
and CS2 Sasuke when im bored
david20co
Oct 12 2006, 09:00 PM
mm dont know what that is but ok
lol what is that?

The PS2 version, I think only needs the mod chip to play.
You can also use a boot disc like me.

And David20co, what is what?
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 09:01 PM
just a list of characters of Naruto that are playable.
Shikamaru is cheat, I love and hate him . . .
david20co
Oct 12 2006, 09:05 PM
a mod chip?
what is that?

Shikamaru is cheat, I love and hate him . . .
You know hes the best.

Well David20co, a mod chip enables you to play imported games on your PS2 by adding a chip to it that skips the region code and tricks your consol to play it, or something like that, but a boot disc is a simple way of that by just swaping discs and sliding a card into your PS2.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 09:09 PM
Really?!. . . wow hmm well the mod chip allows you to play japanese games because they are formated differently from your english PS2.
Most Video game stores that sell import games should have the chip (sold seperately that needs to be installed in the PS2 = $50 back in the days) There is a free loader for the PS2 also I think
548753
Oct 12 2006, 09:11 PM
The freeloader is just like the boot disc, only the boot disc is a little more complicated.
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 09:13 PM
yes, but I mean the free loader only does one thing, I've heard back in the days that a new one was coming out and it would act as a gameshark.
548753
Oct 12 2006, 09:17 PM
Well the only thing that I know about that is that people would use action replays, which were like a gamesharks, to boot foreign games. But they dont make them anymore.
david20co
Oct 12 2006, 09:18 PM
mm interesting
thanks for clearing that up for me
Laughing Shino
Oct 12 2006, 09:18 PM
No true they are still on sale, but really they act as a freeloader. . . wow

Sure.
And yeah I had heard that it was a cheaper way than a boot disc, and that you could also use it as a gameshark. If you dont own a bootdisc and see one (only for gamecube) then you should definitly pick it up.

Oct 12 2006, 09:23 PM

Oct 12 2006, 09:23 PM
