Although I haven't played the other 2 games, or even watched Ex, I am totally in love with Star ocean 3: Till the End of Time right now.

Hell, the dialogue's a bit rubbish when Sophia/Fayt's parents are involved, but it's such a good RPG. <3

Long-lived too, at the mo my top 4 charas are on levels 49-74, and my file is like... 210 hours long. It's wonderful.

I saw Star Ocean 3 in GS yesterday it was only 20$!! But I had to get another game instead, ill definitly pick it up as soon as I get more money.

i started playing Star ocean 2 again, i only playing this again because i watch the anime show for it.

Star Ocean 3 was one of my all time favorite games. It was well worth it's price even when it was first released an you could probably pick one up for around $15 now.

Even if you arnt a fan of rpgs this game is still a must have. BTW, i have four of my characters at high levels cuz i couldnt put it down: Fayt lv 206, Cliff lv 202, Nel lv 161, Mirage lv 142. It has alot of extra fun things you could do as well, gambling, cave of trials, some chess-like game, a 2 player battle mode ect...

Count me in, I'm also a fan of Star Ocean, particularly SO3 Till The end of time. It was one of my favorite rpg games, with the vast sidequest and secret bosses. Most challenging part would be beating Lenneth in 4D mode, accomplishing all the battle trophies. Really hard, but it's still not impossible. At lvl 255 at 4D, she's still beatable using Maria alone.

My favorite character would be Nel Zelpher.

part.3 is the only one I've played,and I like it alot.it's also one of the few games where the main charicter and I are totally diffrent....Fte is TONS more mature than I am...I mean,I'm mature too,but he's like a 45 year old...in a 19's body...I'm really more of a mixture of him,Cliff,and Albel...

anywho,I stll haven't beaten it yet...I'm at the fourth dimention tower(well the place with the crystals,and the fake 4.D girl,and the red,blue,and green crystals,and stuff.)I couldn't beat the gaurdians of the crystals,so I retreated,and now I'm just leveling up and fusing the special metals(forgot what it's called)into my weapons.they add +100 to attack,so I'm taking my time earning mone,lvling up,and fusing....

you mean synthesizing Orihalcon into weapon? That's a good idea, since each of them add 500 attack, thus 10000+ max damage in early game is quite easy. Better way to beat the game (if in galaxy mode) is just synthesizing much orihalcum into weapon, making your next several hours of game become kinda easy (though there're still hard enemy to face).

damn...I'm not that far yet..I was putting demask on...where's the orchalcon?-ack..don't answer...I ran out of syn. materials anyways...unless,.....is there any cheap way to get some sythesis materials?...

Too bad, as far as I know, there's no other way you could get synthesis material except from the treasure chest, and very much later on when you explore the sidequest for secret bosses. btw, the game is still balanced without all the additional attacks though...You just need to gain a few more lvl and get some powerful skill (Nel' Whirlwind and Flying Guillotine come to mind) and you'll be fine.

I use Fate,Cliff,and Albel,and they're all at lvl.56...am I close to anything?...

Yup, everyone will learn some great skill, but only after we finish the game and do the sidequest. Fayt for instance, has one of the most damaging skill in the game, Ethereal Blast.

btw, don't worry if you've dumped Nel for Albel, because later if you didn't recruit Peppita or Roger you will still get Nel back automatically.


So you're in disc 2 right? I suppose you could lvl up a bit, maybe to lvl 65-70. I end my disc one beating crosell at average lvl of 80, huhu.

and what did you do to get to lvl.80?...if you battled monsters all day,...I can't do that...

If your Fayt is at lvl 56, then the final skill that you'd learn upon level up is explosion, learn at lvl 60. A somewhat spell that can deal massive damage, but I prefer let Sophia use this spell and let Fayt concentrate on battle skill...

btw, I reach lvl 80 before end of disc 1 not by battling monster all day, instead I go to Mosel Sand Dune again (place where the Aquaria queen make the deal with the Aeryglyph king), and there's a secret sidequest in that place, where it will lead to an underground basement. The monsters there are of course far stronger than normal bosses, but can be easily dealed with Nel Flying Guillotine or Whirlwind, or Fayt' Sidekick. And, of course they give far more experience.

KOS-actually,if you mean the symbology explosion,I have that already,but I don't use symbology...but thanks though!...I'll just rely on using gutsy bunny+combat raining,and practice on the angel-looking exocutioners...

You NEED bunny shoes, they're like one of the best items you can have and attain easily, If you saw my characters running on that gif i made on the first page you'll see why. Speed increase from the shoes is insane and i knew about from Star Ocean 2 (which was a ps1 game) You can win them first at the tounament fights.

meh,Dragons roar sucks for me....albel/I always miss with that attack,IF we're lucky enough to even have time to activate it...not my fav. move.....

Yup, i was just fight so that i could make that gif image. i wan't really trying to win or anything but thats the top boss (optional) of the game. You gotta keep one person back to heal and stop her strongest attack (which kills all taking up like 95% of the battle ground). She killed those two off with her regular attck cuz they were fighting close up.
